FR SWAT TEAM ALERT: Kerry's "liars and crooks" remark slandered Americans (here are your orders)
3/11/04
Posted on 03/11/2004 6:20:54 AM PST by Liz
It's all over the media..... candidate Kerry, thinking the mike was off, whispering to Chicago factory workers: "These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group I've ever seen," Kerry said under his breath, as if he was afraid someone would overhear his slanderous remarks.
Well, someone did hear them and we are mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore.
That's us he's talking about. He's calling Americans who vote Republican crooks and liars. That's you and me.
And to rub salt in an open wound, Kerry's campaign spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said Kerry had no regrets about his characterizations of Americans.
"Not at all," she said to reporters.. "There's been a pretty high level of Republican attack machine working for the last four years for the sole purpose of smearing the Democrats. We're trying to make this campaign about issues; Republicans are making it about attacks."
For a second there, I though Stephie was going to go into the Dumbocrats "blame-it-on-the-VRWC" routine (snicker).
Well, listen up Stephanie, no presidential candidate worthy of the office gets away with calling Americans liars and crooks just because they vote for his opposition.
Either Kerry respects the office of the presidency, and American of every stripe---not just those who support him----or he goes back to Taxachusetts.

When Kerry said 'these guys' he could have been referring to you - or me - our friends - or our relatives. This is an outrageous comment by a presidential candidate.
ACTION The FR Swat Team will conduct a full scale, all-out assault on the media to advise them of our outrage. We need to email, call and write national and local, print and broadcast news media. We need to hammer them with this, and nothing else, through the weekend.

Either Kerry respects the office of the presidency...That seems to be asking a lot of a Democrat nowadays. I'm afraid it would overtax their sensibilities to actually show respect for the office and the American public.

Evan Bayh on FNC does not have the integrity to concur Hanoi John Kerry crossed any sensible line of decency and does not see any need for Hanoi John to make an apology.

Using the word "crooked" in Chicago. Good one. Anyone remember the Daley/Mafia connection? Not to mention the film The Untouchables which documents the tactics used in the "old days". Same town, same crooks.

" "There's been a pretty high level of Republican attack machine working for the last four years for the sole purpose of smearing the Democrats. We're trying to make this campaign about issues;" Pretty hypocritical statement from someone whose only "issue" is smearing the president.

"no presidential candidate worthy of the office gets away with calling Americans liars and crooks just because they vote for his opposition" "Worthy" being the operative word here. Kerry oozes contempt for Americans....and all things American, but that seems to be a selling point to the RATs.

My first reaction when I saw the video was the gaul of him.
We are all Americans, him included and how could he say that to an unknown supporter?
I could see it at a strategy session with his advisors but at a campaign event fot the highest office in the world?
This better get major media coverage....

"Evan Bayh on FNC does not have the integrity to concur Hanoi John Kerry crossed any sensible line of decency" He crossed the line of both sensible and decent the first time he put that ugly face in front of a camera and microphone and opened his mouth.

I just went to the MSNBC web site to e-mail my complaint and low and behold, glaring at me was an article by Fred Kaplan, (being computer challenged I do not know how to post articles) which is headlined, "BUSH INSULTS KERRY'S INTELLIGENCE" THE PRESIDENT'S LATEST ATTACK IS EVEN MORE DISHONEST THAN THE LAST" The article then goes on to say, "There he goes again." I am at the point where I don't think there is anything we can do with this "runaway media."

Kerry respects nothing that gets in his way--not the presidency, not the Constitution, and certainly not the lowly peons (aka citizen-voters) he expects will elect him, regardless of the insults.
