Kerry quotes the Bible to question Bush's compassion

St. Louis - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is quoting the Bible to question President Bush's claim to be a compassionate conservative.

Kerry campaigned from the pulpit today at New North Side Baptist Church in St. Louis.

He told worshipers, ``The Scriptures say, 'What does it profit, my brother, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?''' The Massachusetts senator added, ``When we look at what is happening in America today, where are the works of compassion?''

Kerry noted that three (m) million jobs have been lost since President Bush [related, bio] took office.

Kerry is Roman Catholic, but has chosen to ignore the pope's directive that Catholic politicians do all they can to stop abortion. In an interview with Time magazine, Kerry said, ``I don't tell church officials what to do, and church officials shouldn't tell American politicians what to do in the context of our public life.''

You are so right! I have seen this quote recently: "Being in a church does not make you a Christian anymore than standing in a garage makes you a car".

Not only does he not believe it he doesn't even come close to understanding it. The whole passage is directed at believers, at the Body of Christ, not some arm of the federal government. But this is not suprising, for the dims civil government is their god and salvation flows from the halls of power.

Listening to this guy quote Holy Scripture is gut wrenching. Like placing a ring of gold in hog's snout.

Hey, even satan can quote scripture.

And, when he does, just like Kerry, it is out of context.

This guy is a piece of puke. Everything that comes out of his mouth is garbage.
I was at a party last night, my mothers 80th B-day, there were people there that are voting for him because of the Florida vote.
Influential people who are deep pocket democrats. They all made me sick but the party was great. Happy B-day mom (a self made American citizen)

If you want to find real Americans that vote all the time and use the process go after the naturalized citizens because they take the process seriously.

The unfortunate thing is the American born citizens that do not vote.

Just reading the title makes my blood boil. With liars like him around President Bush & Dr. Rice need extra prayer. Kerry seems to have an "in" with the Prince of Lies.

Nothing worse than a Lip Service Christian

Maybe he should study the bible and start filtering to us the scriptures stance on abortion, gays and, maybe even some games like lets take a Proverb a day and live by it.

What a disgrace for the Dem's,

Further more I think his bible quote verbage is a little off. Of course he may be reading the Readers Digest Version.

"Kerry campaigned from the pulpit today at New North Side Baptist Church in St. Louis"

Why is this only legal for democRATs?

Satan quoted the scriptures too.

"I don't tell church officials what to do, and church officials shouldn't tell American politicians what to do in the context of our public life."

What a pompous ass he is.

I love to hear these Democrats start quoting scripture. Every time they do, they look like such fools. I hope Kerry continues to try to quote it because it will be classic Kerry foot in mouth disease.

"Looks like Mammon wins over God in this one."

When doesn't it when there are democRATs involved? God is nothing more than one of their tools to be pulled out as needed on the campaign trail. When was the last time you saw any real honor or reverence for God in a democRAT?

"Kerry trashed their church."

Apparently it was with their consent.

"Kerry seems to have an "in" with the Prince of Lies."

An "in" would be an understatement. More like puppet to the puppetmaster.

John Foreign Kerry is an 'indian giver,'  first he gives his vote, then he takes it away. He has 'no works' to show for his time in the Senate.

This more of the same rhetoric. Kerry is the good guy and Bush is the bad guy. The partisan media never seems to write anything critical of John Kerry. Kerry can even question the President's integrity when it comes to his personal faith and no one blinks an eye.
