John Thomas Wrobleski, Lieutenant U.S.M.C
His mother | 8 April 2004 | Joe Boucher

Posted on 04/08/2004 3:12:01 AM PDT by Joe Boucher

Last night due to severe wounds from battling in the Sunni Triangle on 6 Apr 2004 my nephew and personal hero John Thomas Wrobleski succumed to his injuries.

J.T. was a lieutenant in the U.S.M.C. He joined the marines 2 days after 9-11. He was born and lived in the north of New Jersey and joined after having many friends in the twin towers perish. 7 months ago he was married to a most wonderful girl who is now a widdow. He leaves 3 brothers a mom and dad and about 50 other family members and hundreds of friends. When he returns we as a family will come together to celebrate this American heros life. Thank you all for your many prayers and may GOD protect our brave American troops wherever they are.

Oh, Joe. I'm so very, very sorry to hear of your nephew's passing.

Men like your nephew J.T., have kept this country free and strong for so long. I'm amazed and deeply humbled at the caliber of men and women who stand up and say Me, I'll do it. This thing we call freedom, liberty, America, she's worth fighting for, and yes, maybe dying for.

Joe, please accept my family's deepest sympathy. Please let J.T.'s wife and parents and family know how deeply grateful we are for J.T.'s service. It is a debt that we simply can never repay.

We will continue to keep J.T., his wife and family in our prayers. May God bless and comfort you all, and may He welcome J.T.home to his loving peaceful arms.

Dear Joe, I am so sorry to hear of the loss that you and your family must endure. This is my first post and I only do so because both of my sons are Marines; One just got back from Iraq and the other is on the way. My deepest fears are what you are now living and I can do nothing but sit at my desk in tears praying that your Nephew continue his heroic destiny by watching over his fellow servicemen. I'm sorry that I am not better at putting my feelings to words, please know that my family and I have the utmost love and respect for John and all of the brave men and women who believe so strongly in the word freedom that they risk, and sometimes give, their lives for it. Prayers

Condolences for those left behind, and gratitude for the sacrifice of your nephew and your family. We all were born to one day die, it is rare when one's exit is as honorable.

LT. Wrobleski died a hero. He protected freedom for all of us. I wish I could give my condolences in person. Not sure that I could help any.

May the family of John Thomas be comforted by the Lord.

And may God bless and protect the Marines.

Words are inadequate to express my admiration for your late nephew and sorry at your loss. In the words of the late Rudie Guthrie in his song, "The Sinking of the Ruben James": "Many years have passed and those brave men are gone,

And those cold, icy waters are still, and they're calm,

Many years have passed, and still I wonder why,

The worst of men must fight...and the best of men must die!"

God rest your nephew and grant him the heavenly rewards he has surely earned!

Taps
In memory of John Thomas Wrobleski, Lieutenant U.S.M.C, a brave Marine.
God rest and keep his soul, as well as the souls of all our KIA, and bring comfort to their families.

Day is done,
gone the sun,
From the hills,
from the lake,
From the skies.
All is well,
safely rest,
God is nigh.

Go to sleep,
peaceful sleep,
May the soldier
or sailor,
God keep.
On the land
or the deep,
Safe in sleep.

Love, good night,
Must thou go,
When the day,
And the night
Need thee so?
All is well.
Speedeth all
To their rest.

Fades the light;
And afar
Goeth day,
And the stars
Shineth bright,
Fare thee well;
Day has gone,
Night is on.

Thanks and praise,
For our days,
'Neath the sun,
Neath the stars,
'Neath the sky,
As we go,
This we know,
God is nigh.
