Sounds good but unfortunately it comes from a man who systemically undermined America's military forces from the 1790s through his Presidency leaving Madison with forces so inadequate that our national capital was burned.

For high minded nice sounding phrases Jefferson cannot be topped for practical results he was hapless at best.

Spain even out-Franced France. With France it was merely its leadership that caved. With Spain the whole people caved!

Anyone know what the best Italian wine is? So as to toast to the bravery of Mr. Quattrocchi.

"the government would have done better to have opened talks with the kidnappers," Apparently your son disagreed.

I sympathize with the parents, but pray they will seek to know in their hearts what their brave son would want them to do. I'm nearly certain such a man would find it unthinkable to "open talks with kidnappers".

The only talk the kidnappers should get is the "talk" that comes out of the barrel of a gun

THe way I would respond if I were in charge would be to summarily execute 100 prisoners in Gitmo and Iraq...and invite Al Jeereza to film it.

And instead of using heavy machinery to dig the trence I would make the prisoners LIKEWISE...dig their own grave.

THAT is the ONLY way these kidnappings and executions are going to cease.

EMERGENCY EMERGENCY EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To everyone here who has someone they can contact in Iraq, hit that link and read the story. Traitors are among them RIGHT NOW, seeking to harm their morale, their careers, and possibly their lives. Read it, get the details, and make contact to warn them!

Oh, and RedNeck...is olive oil made anywhere else than Italy?

Go to your normal mass market grocery, and a lot of the olive oil is labeled as Spanish. They give Italy stiff competition in the imported olive oil market. (A curious aside: I have NEVER seen an American olive oil. Why?)

"They HAVE TO KNOW that there is NO WAY they can win a Military Confrontation, so WHAT is their "Game??"

"There were many people who, in good conscience, were against our presence in Vietnam. Many today feel the same about Iraq. But the fact remains for both groups: this argument is good and necessary before we go to war; once there, they enemies of America have one way and one way only to defeat this nation, and that is from within. They are counting on Janeane Garofolo and Kos and Michael Moore and Sarandon and Franken and Rather. The bodies on the Fallujah bridge are for them. And, sadly, it seems they know their audience. "Unfortunately, it looks like the cowardly killers of this hero will get exactly the same punishment those who killed our 4 heroes got: nothing."

It ain't over yet pal. The goons who did this are inflaming anger more than creating fear. I believe that anger in civilized nations will reach the boiling and a sh*t storm will hit these butchers in a way they can't imagine.

Remember what happend to The Nazis?

With Spain the whole people caved!

not entirely true.
about 48 percent caved.
about 38 percent stood firm.

cut them a break.
they pulled some of the load at the outset... and may again.
the French, loathesome though they may be to freepers, DID come and stay in Afghanistan. They are still there with us.

40 plus nations in a coalition, is a LOT of folks to keep in line.
unilateralism or bilateralistic actions are a lot easier to orchestrate and maintain.

...so WHAT is their "Game??"

Capitulation through fear.

Works with the Spanish, who are grovelling at the islamists' feet.

Doesn't work with the Italians.

I remember what happened to the nazis after WW2. While most regular soldiers returned to the civilian population, the werewolves (kind of like the "insurgents" in fallujah) were tied to posts and shot. But while Germans were whipped up in a frenzy by political ideology, these humanoids are whipped up by religious insanity. They CAN NOT return to a normal everyday post-war existance, like the Nazis did. And NO cities have been completely leveled yet, as far as I know. Damn collateral damage! We should be vaporizing entire cities.

I keep hearing about soldiers facing minimal resistance, and answering back minimally. Only after resistance increases, are they allowed to return fire more aggressively. If true, this is horsecrap.

Do you think Spain will ever wake up? How about France, with a 17% muslim population? After the US (Whose populace still won't touch the open border or profiling problems) who is left but Britian or Austrailia, if that?

Like I said. The official word is that our forces are NOT going after those PERSONALLY responsible for the killings of our 4 contractors. I definitely think they should be hunted and killed in the most viscious manner.

You can find American olive oils out of California, Oregon and Washington State. Usually from small, independent growers.

http://www.sciabica.com/

I've had theirs and it wasn't too bad.

The best is still from Italy, hands down.
