San Francisco-AP -- The Democratic-leaning, Internet-based political group MoveOn has gone very low-tech to raise funds. MoveOn says it has held at least one-thousand bake sales across the U-S. The funds will be used to fund efforts to defeat President Bush.
Treats for sale included "Beat Bush Brownies" and "No CARB Meringues" -- that's "CARB" as in "Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, Bush."
An activist in California served "Bush Im-peach-ment Pie" and "Karamels for Kerry."
A MoveOn spokesman says "Bake Back the White House" was a way to engage people who have signed an online petitions "but haven't done anything in their neighborhood."
Early estimates place the national sales tally for the partisan pastries at about 250-thousand dollars.

Kerry National Headquarters Sics Cops on Freepers, Kristinn to Be On Fox News - On Now
The DC Chapter of Free Republic set up a Viet-Cong Vets for Kerry bake sale in front of Democrat Presidential candidate John Kerry's national headquarters in Washington DC this afternoon. The Kerry campaign responded by calling the D.C. police to shut down the bake sale.
When the D.C. police arrived they ordered the DC Chapter to shut down the protest in 15 minutes or they would ticket them for occupying a public space without a permit. At that point the police would then disperse them themselves.
Due to the short notice, and the fact that it would be a small group, the DC Chapter did not apply for a permit.
Kristinn is scheduled to appear on Fox News this afternoon for an in-studio interview. The interview should air sometime between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm today. As more details become available, they will posted here.
Kudos to those that attended. The honor roll is Kristinn, Angelwood, TGSLTakoma, TBP, Trueblackman, and Staytrue.

Yep, that was me. Brian didn't get the "muffins were free, that $3 all for Kerry's taxes" joke at first.
The guy that really set him off was Kristinn's report.
Brian needs to see the Meet The Press interview and the Dick Cavett appearance by Kerry. Maybe he'll understand more about our agruements against Kerry. Whitman cut him off and refused to aknowledge facts. Or at least the claim.

I didn't see the interview, but on the 10 pm PDT Fox News, Carol Iovanna followed up a report of the Kerry bake sale with a report on the FreeRepublic response, including mention and video of Jane Fonda nutcakes and John Kerry flip flops.
Way to go, DC Freepers!

Low-tech? Nah.. Just LOW. Trichinosis tarts? Dog nuts? Botulin brownies? Crepes of wrath? I'll pass.

Cookies and such products make you thirsty. So, I'm sure they'll have some official democrat cry baby milk available. Or for the high upper class libs, a cheese and wine combo. Remember the liberal bake sale at an Elementary school Rush Limbaugh spoke about years ago? Somehow, this reminds me of the "bring down the national debt" bake sale they had. lol
To: Indy Pendance
I dont suppose the brownie prices are $1 for white males minus 25 cents for each and every "victim" group you can identify with?
