Thanks for the pics, but how does the author almost double the rifle's weight? I think of a modern single shot, bolt action only in the sense that I think of some modern blackpowder muzzle loaders. This .50 cal. round has been around for about 80 years or more, IIRC.

" but how does the author almost double the rifle's weight?" The same way he makes the rounds nearly non-existent when I buy them off the Internet at two bucks a round for all I want to order and match ammo off the shelf for $4.80 a round for all I can afford (which is about ten).
