Kerry melt-down following Gibson GMA interview
ABC Evening News

Posted on 04/26/2004 4:03:47 PM PDT by A Citizen Reporter

Peter Jennings just ran a piece on Kerry's Vietnam history. Included in the piece was a bit of video after this morning's interview with Charlie Gibson. Kerry (thinking he was off-camera) ripped out his earpiece, and said "I feel like they're doing the work of the Republican National Committee."

I'll catch the left coast feed and post the video to this thread.

Thanks very much. It would be a great service.

BTW - Any chance ABC DOESN'T run the segment on the West Coast?

Who advises this clown?

I suspect our boy John doesn't take advise very well...I mean, he's soooo, smart and all.

This is actually becoming very good theater.

The RNC could come out with a statement that says, "John Kerry is taller than the average US Senator," and he'd accuse them of being an "attack squad." This guy has the thinnest skin of anyone I've seen in politics.

I saw it and it was great! Now he's gonna know what it feels like to be a Republican. Jennings said nothing afterwards......went to the next segment.

Remember this, there's a thread on it.

KERRY TO DEMS: STOP 'AWOL' JABS AT DUBYA

New York Post ^ | 2/16/04 | DEBORAH ORIN

February 16, 2004 -- Democratic front-runner John Kerry yesterday urged Democrats to stop charging that President Bush went "AWOL" during his Texas National Guard service - a claim being pushed by the party's national chairman, Terry McAuliffe. "I don't plan to do that, and I've asked them not to," said Kerry, a decorated Vietnam vet, during what could be the final presidential primary debate heading into tomorrow's Wisconsin vote.

Still, Kerry claimed Bush failed to apply Vietnam lessons to Iraq, and he referred derisively to "Richard Nixon and his war in Vietnam" - though it actually began under Democratic President Lyndon Johnson or, some say, President John F. Kennedy.

Democrats claim there's no proof Bush did temporary duty in Alabama, but two fellow Guardsmen now say he did, and a commander who'd suggested Bush was a no-show is "getting Alzheimer's."

It was low-key debate where Howard Dean ignored chances to zing Kerry. Rival John Edwards said he'll stay in the race and chided Kerry for talking as if he's already the nominee, saying, "Not so fast, John Kerry."

Kerry rejected the idea that his vote for the Iraq war means he bears some responsibility for it, saying: "The president had the authority to do what he was going to do without the vote of the U.S. Congress."

But Edwards, who also voted "yes" on the war, said "of course" he feels responsibility.

I saw it. His off camera remark was more revealing than anything else. He hates anyone actually questioning his assertions. Instead of responding to the questions, Kerry attacked GWB and his National Guard Sevice. He is starting to crack. We are getting closer to the truth and he knows it.

Heck, when Republicasn do this, we like them even more.

Cheney - "Big time!"

Reagan - "The Soviet Union has been outlawed. We begin bombing in five minutes!"

W. took his pounding January through March. Now Kerry gets his. May last until the convention. Then he'll get a bump up, take a lead, W. will retake the lead after the RNC convention, and never look back.

I especially like the way this story ends.

I think that as long as the economy continues to move ahead, and the Iraq situation calms down, Bush will win in November.

With Petah Jennings, right. I believe the piece started after the first commercial break, about 5 mins in.

National Review article called "But was it true" regarding the atrocities that Kerry testified to.

Interesting how his entire testimony has been debunked.
