The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win....I oppose the U.N. or anyone else risking the lives of their citizens to extract us from our debacle...the majority of Americans supported this war once it began and, sadly, that majority must now sacrifice their children until enough blood has been let that maybe -- just maybe -- God and the Iraqi people will forgive us in the end.

Shooting this oxygen thief would be too merciful. The putrid excrescence called Michael Moore does not deserve to be an American. Contrast him with Pat Tillman and you have the worst and the best of American character. Guess who's the worst?
Incidentally since Moore is supporting Kerry (I think), they should have a picture of Moore with Kerry and the accompanying quotes from the above article. Let's see Kerry wriggle out of that.

I currently have two cameramen/reporters doing work for me in Iraq for my movie (unbeknownst to the Army). They are talking to soldiers and gathering the true sentiment about what is really going on. Oh, and I'm sure it will not be edited for content...

There's a world of difference in wishing for the death of a man who is rooting for our enemy in a time a war (ie, a traitor) and wishing for the deaths of our troops in that war. You are calling for the death of a man because he says things that you don't agree with. I don't agree with him either, but I don't call for anyone's death because I will never stoop as low and Michael Moore, which is not a problem for so many on this forum.
There is no world of difference at all.

The discussion is kicked off by someone seeking counseling from his peers. Should he stay or should he go (now)?
If by “America” you mean the vision of the Founding Fathers, then I love America. But it’s hard to keep that vision in front of me when the majority of “Americans” are fundamentalist, fascistic, homophobic, racist, sexist, ignorant, American Idol-loving morons who think Bush is a strong leader. I think that the America I love is beyond retrieval because it would take more than a new President, it would take a re-awakening of a whole group of stupid people who don’t want re-awakening. Bush didn’t destroy America. Americans who had no idea of the wonderful country they were given destroyed America, and will continue to destroy it whether Kerry is elected or not.
Should I stay? Would you counsel someone to stay in an abusive relationship and hope that the person will stop hitting them if they can just reach the person somehow?
To which one helpful DU gentleman chimes in:
If chimpy gets selected again, we’re all in big trouble. The fascists you describe will start doing more than just voting, the “brownshirts” will be coming after people. And the people like us will oppose them with whatever means necessary. It’ll then get ugly, real ugly.
