OMG. I found someone on the list whom I used to know a long time ago, and didn't know until now that she was murdered that morning. The nightmare never ends.

Just the other day, I heard this policeman's story recalled on radio. Perry was filing his retirement papers. When the news of a plane hitting the WTC came in, he grabbed his shield and headed straight to the WTC.He was a friend of some friends of mine. I think he was retiring from the NYPD to get a law degree, and he also something of an acting career going on at the time, too.

Michael F. Lynch, 33, New Hyde Park, N.Y., USA firefighter, Ladder 4, New York Fire Department Confirmed dead, World Trade Center, at/in building This is my cousin. It hurts every time I read this list.
Michael died trying to rescue people trapped in a burning elevator.
May he rest in peace. May they all rest in peace. I will never forget.

Thank you for your link christie.
The part showing "mourners of the world" reminded me of a beautiful series of pictures set to music at the time.
Having lost a computer since then, I have no link or idea of where it is to be found.
Do you have any recollection of the link that I am referring to?

Thank you, kayak.
Michael was a hero. He comes from a long line of heroes. Our family has been giving their sons to the nation to protect and defend its freedoms since World War I. We have lost an extended family member in every major war.
I, too, am disgusted by all the Americans who have already forgotten those who died in the act of war against our nation on September 11, 2001.
Sadly, I fear we are going to be reminded once again of the hatred for our nation by its enemies abroad and the enemies within. There will be another major event on American soil before Election Day.
God grant our President the resolve to keep on fighting the enemy.
He must not be distracted by the current unpleasantness.
All of the "tortured" Iraqis are still alive and well. Many of them were from Saddam's elite brigade of rapists, murderers and torturers. I have absolutely no pity for them.
This nation had better rediscover its backbone.

thank you for thread ambrose & for ping Mozart lover.
I decided to save list in word. 246 pages worth.
Sobering to read & appreciate EVERYONES comments. Wish I had known about FRee Republic then... I like most of you have hundreds of favorites.. including the musical slide show tribute someone requested but couldn't pin point it. If I find it I will post it, if not already done.
Every 911 anniversary & every memorial day weekend , I would like to see this list scrolled in movie theaters before trailers/ads start & also the video montage..

Do you have any recollection of the link that I am referring to?No, I don't recall having seen the site you described.
It was very difficult to put this tribute together, I shed a lot of tears. I looked through hundreds of photos to choose the ones I felt told the story, and I know I will never forget the victims, and the anger I feel every time I remember 9-11.
