I was being sarcastic and took the tone of a flippant left-wing editor who undoubtedly saw this story a week ago and shrugged it off. I should have been a little clearer. My bad. Need coffee.

Ahh, okay. Or maybe I'm the one in need of caffeine. :-)

No problem whatsoever.

Watch the mods move the thread to chat. That's what they did last time the story was reported.

I'd rather sit here and watch ungrateful, often clueless, folks throw unfounded criticism at the moderators.

It's hard to believe that we have the kind of good intelligence to run these creeps to ground so soon after their crime but not good enough intelligence to capture them (and their friends) before they carry out their missions. There are criminals, mass murderers, etc.in the US that it takes officials years to catch up with. And, here in the US, there is more crime fighting infrastructure, personnel, co operation, etc. at the disposal of law enforcement. Am I being naive?

Possible? I guarandamntee it!

As someone who has been hoping and urging for proactive action against Islamic terrorism for a long time, I took it upon myself to do a little research about terrorists and who they are and how they operate. With nothing more than publicly available information I was able to deduce that Al-qaeda is really like a cartel. Different, smaller, terrorist groups united under one banner. Most of its "members" are really part of one or a couple of terrorists organizations. Once a person decides to be a terrorist, they usually just keep "signing" up with different groups. The likelihood of a Fedayeen being al-qaeda or a member of any other terrorist group is pretty high. They are fanatics.

This is something that the media knows. They just don't write stories about it because 1) it would actually put the problem of Islamic terrorism in context and 2) would paint the war on terror in the correct light and make reasonable people, who when finally informed of the truth, be able to put all the pieces in place and see how the removal of Hussein was and is an integral part of the war on terror.

It's a deliberate campaign to keep people in the dark.

They were arrested a week ago.

The media has already yawned and gone back to sleep on this. Unbelievable. I just hope the average news viewer can see the real agenda of the "Word News Tonight" crowd.

If the report is not verified..it's spculation over a rumor that's printed as fact by the news organization.

I would not torture these guys to get information. No, I would send them to Israeli specialists. Afterwards an "insurgent mortar strike" on their prison cells would take care of any evidentiary issues. Too bad I'm not in charge, eh?

Perhaps their executions or better still thier "burial" in a hog yard should be video taped and provided to Al Jazeera for the viewing pleasure of the Muslim world.

sorry, bad grammar, i meant to say is 'how do we know they were part of the four of them' ... did they leave behind wallets or picture ids w/out their bags on'? they could just be 'the usual suspects' just to get the good guys off their backs....

They were arrested a week ago.

Can anyone guess why nobody confirmed these captures when the story first broke? Why did it take 4 days?

I just hope the average news viewer can see the real agenda of the "Word News Tonight" crowd.

Me too, but there are alot of people that don't "see" the left wing bias in the news. Our only hope is to increase the non-traditional news sources so people eventually stumble upon the truth.

This time? They were arrested a week ago. Sounds like the first story was probably legit.

Might we not expect that they had a little "massaging" over the past week.

Anybody have a problem with torturing these guys to get info on Zarqawi?

Torture as in placing panties on their heads and placing them in a pyramid? Noooooo! That would be inhumane and cruel. I am wringing my hands just thinking about it!

Al Qaeda is often misunderstood. It means "the base." What kind of base? The DATABASE! In one sense it is a very loose organization, where he who controls the "BASE" has the power. As the "base" fragments into many franchises, there can be many centers of power with identical or parallel goals. Its sort of like cancer, and has a very similar cure.
