Thanks for doing this page of links. I should have known that someone had taken care of it. I placed a ton of links on this thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1148152/posts?page=1608#1608

They start at that post, but keep going. I have a few more posts of links down in the thread.

God bless Ronald Reagan!

Reagan: "America's Gandalf" (From NRO's Corner)
National Review Online "The Corner" ^ | 6/5/2004 | anonymous
Bush needs to simply look America straight in the eye and say:

You can stay the course with me and continue the fight for freedom, liberty, and the defeat of evil, or you can vote for my opponent, who's idea of accomplishing peace is to appease those who seek our destruction, who seek to destroy your freedoms and liberty and turn over the governing of this republic to those in the United Nations.

Those are your choices. They are simple choices. You either embrace freedom and liberty or you embrace socialism, communism and government by a so-called elite few who think that only the UN can successfully make those decisions. This country has survived for over 225 years without the UN making those decisions. Do you really think we need to change our form of government now? The choice is yours in November. Vote for whomever you trust with your life.

No one nowadays tells kids this kind of stuff, it is a pity. Mostly they get advice on prenups, etc, dual careers. They really need parents to start saying these things and to live that kind of life.

This is a huge eye opener for them. They are asking their parents, "Why is everybody going nuts over this guy?" Millions of Americans also under the age of 30 have no concrete memory of Ronald Reagan's presidency, and yet we are all, including them, touched by his greatness. I'd like to take a moment here to explain to those of you who have no direct relationship with Ronald Reagan, you weren't old enough or even born during his presidency to have understood it or to have known how you have been affected by it, because the simple fact is that now in death, Ronald Reagan once again defines the utter beauty and blessing that is America and reminds us all of our destiny.

How could one forget P J O'Rourke's trip to Nicaragua in his first and perhaps greatest political book, Holidays in Hell. This was a lie, and we couldn't let them print it."

TechCentralStation ^ | 6-7-04 | James Pinkerton
In a 2001 book, Reagan in His Own Hand: The Writings of Ronald Reagan That Reveal His Revolutionary Vision for America, the Hoover Institution's Kiron Skinner dredged up the handwritten scripts that Reagan used for his radio commentaries in the 70s, plus other of his private writings. They show a man who was not a puppet, but rather a mind.

Saying goodbye to 'The Gipper': Pat Buchanan shows why Reagan was loved by so many Americans
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | Wednesday, June 9, 2004 | Pat Buchanan
He came from another time and place, Ronald Reagan did, a time long ago when love of country was as natural for a boy growing up in Illinois as was a faith that nothing was beyond the capacity of the great and good people whence he had come.
