The bill having been read twice and placed on the general calendar can now be brought up for a vote AT ANY TIME! At best we will have about 24 hours notice before the bill comes up for a vote or is offered as an amendment to something else. Call your Senators now an urge them to fight any attempt to extend the AWB.

Blacks Prospered Under Reagan
NewsMax.com ^ | June 10, 2004 | Carl Limbacher
When the idjits say "Reagan dindn't care about black people," they are, in a sense right; he cared about all people. He devised economic policies that didn't favor or punish anyone and made it easier for middle class families to keep more of their money and for business, and thus employment, to grow. Unless Jesse Jackson et. al. think jobs and prosperity for everyone is bad thing, of course.

What Tony Blair, the latter-day Reagan, told me on the 07.42 to Birmingham
The Times ^ | June 11, 2004 | Nick Robinson
Listen now to what Blair says about Reagan: “His statesmanlike pursuit of more stable relations with the Soviet Union helped bring about the end of the Cold War. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and admirers on this side of the Atlantic.” Listen to his deputy John Prescott who made a few Labour MPs splutter when as Blair’s stand-in at PMQs he declared that President Reegun (we knew what he meant) had made “a contribution to world peace”. When you watch Reagan’s funeral in Washington’s National Cathedral don’t mistake Blair’s presence as just observing the usual courtesies. Blair believes that, just like him and George W. Bush now, Reagan and Thatcher were unpopular but right. Put it to him that that’s not what he used to think and he simply and disarmingly says “But I was wrong”. He now believes that it’s his critics who have “not yet awoken to the real nature of the threat, the ‘warfare of the end game’.”

President Reagan Changed Me
Front Page Magazine ^ | June 7, 2004 | Tammy Bruce
I had never thought of my friend as an indecent person, just as I never thought of myself as one. But he really hates those two people and wishes them awful things. He believes he’s in the right and they’re wrong. He also believes that the questions that divide them are moral issues about life and death. The difference, however, is that I think it’s safe to say neither Nancy nor Ronald Reagan ever had a bottle of champagne in the fridge waiting for a gay man or a feminist to die. The Reagans, I’ll bet, don’t hoot and holler at someone else’s pain.

Mrs. Reagan’s humanity illustrated by counterpoint the soullessness of the Left. We, the Feminist and Gay Elites, inflicted on society narcissists’ biggest crime of all: We couldn’t see beyond our own interests and desires. We became indecent in defending our principles.

OVERWHELMING TURNOUT FOR REAGAN VIEWING AT CAPITOL, CROWDS SURGE PAST CAPACITY

As Bob Dole said earlier today, "Once again, Ronald Reagan has been underestimated."
Actions always speak louder than words.
The people have spoken.
Metro Press Release: Metrorail ridership sets new all-time record - Metrorail ridership reached 850,636 trips yesterday, June 9, the highest ridership day in Metrorail’s 28-year history, on a day that people flocked to the District of Columbia to pay their respects to former President Ronald Reagan.
Wednesday’s ridership bested the previous record by 39,379, when 811,257 people took a trip on Metrorail on January 20, 1993, the day that Bill Clinton was inaugurated as President.

The picture I am seeing of those paying their last respects to Reagan is a far different one that what some in the media would have us believe. While most journalist have kept a civil tone, there are still those who are trying to impart a vision that blacks, hispanics...and of course, the poor were never part of Reagan's America.
Funny, because I am seeing people of all stripes...

Someone asked the newly elected Reagan what his cold war policy would be and he said "we are going to win it." The man had incredible guts and a profound sense of the use of power. One thing missing in this whole scenario was the cooperation he elicited from the Pope, who delivered tremendous support to our efforts in Poland as long as violence was never one of the tools.

The Reagan Public Viewing- Freeper Thoughts

I just got back from a twenty four hour trip to Washington, D.C. to pay my respects to the great President Ronald Reagan. I was the 40th person from the general public to enter the Rotunda and see the flag-draped casket with my own eyes. Here are a few of my thoughts from the day:
