Pinging.......
Pinging.......
Well I heard that Geragos asked this man what he did on Christmas Eve. Answer: I went fishing. Geragos: Did you tell your wife? Answer: No. Geragos: No more questions. Did anyone else hear this? Believe it was Napolitano on Fox with John Gibson.
Anybody from the Modesto "police" work this Grantski over?
Yes, I heard it, and I also heard he said on the stand, "but I did not go fishing 90 miles away."
(PS...he also did not have an 8 month pregnant wife at home, or tell anyone he was going golfing....in addition, his wife did not turn up dead where he went fishing!)
Scotty's big catch ping...
Good morning!LOL
I know. But I think Geragos was going for the "didn't tell my wife" angle and left it at that. Hopefully the prosecution will blow major holes in that statement.
Big whoop. How does this help 'prove' how Laci & son were killed & by whom? Nothing probative in a father not liking a son-in-law, or his love for fishing where others fear to tread.
It looks and sounds to me like Scott is headed toward a conviction. Maybe even the needle.
By itself, it doesn't mean much. But as one attorney put it, think of it as another brick that, with all the other bricks, builds a structure. Circumstantial evidence can be just as damning as, say, a videotape of the actual murder, if put together skillfully.
"...think of it as another brick that, with all the other bricks, builds a structure."
Or they can just as easily remain a 'pile of bricks' due to lack of mortar. My take is that the prosecution is building his house from either straw or sticks, not bricks. When the 'big bad wolf' (Geragos) comes by he will have a good chance of blowing down the house built by the prosecution.
Even though I believe him to be guilty, I can see where a reasonable person could argue that he is not. Like it or not, that is the litmus test. Right now I would have to vote not guilty.
Great recap of yesterday's events here...some interesting new info too....

Dread of fatherhood could be motive, witnesses suggest
Ron Grantski and Sharon Rocha, Laci Peterson's stepfather and mother, enter the courthouse Tuesday.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Scott Peterson might have had more motive than a mistress to kill his pregnant wife, prosecution witnesses implied at his capital murder trial Tuesday.
Relatives of Laci Peterson suggested the fertilizer salesman did not want a child and felt trapped and depressed about his life.
His sister-in-law recalled asking him whether he was ready for fatherhood.
"He looked at me and said, 'I was kinda hoping for infertility,'" testified Rosemarie Rocha, prompting several gasps in the courtroom.

As per the article: Geragos went fishing the same day/time as Peterson? What an idiot!
Scott had told police he & Laci were watching Martha Stewart that morning and on the show they were cooking meringue. Police say the show on the 24th wasn't about cooking meringue, but the 23rd show was. Geragos plays a tape where the word meringue is said once on the 24th show. It's reportedly aired at 9:40 a.m.
If the word was only mentioned once at 9:40, how could Snott have heard it if he left at 9:30??
Not Geragos...Laci's stepfather, Granski...
I also heard he said on the stand, "but I did not go fishing 90 miles away."
(PS...he also did not have an 8 month pregnant wife at home, or tell anyone he was going golfing....in addition, his wife did not turn up dead where he went fishing!)
