I didn't think it was THAT much of a bitch slapping. Franken and Garafalo do come across, however, as rather uninformed, they spout statistics that are wrong, (we propped up Saddam, we sold him all his weapons, blah blah, myths busted here on FR).

What DID grab me was the ignorance of Franken, the outright ignorance, dare I say stupidity? He quotes Golda MEir as saying "We will forgive the Palestinians for killing our children, we will never forgive ourselves for killing their children".

I believe the correct quote is (to Anwar Sadat about the Arabs)"We can forgive you for killing our sons. But we will never forgive you for making us kill yours."

He made this mistake twice, and based his reasoning on it. Too bad Mr. Quinn didn't smack him in the face with it, an opportunity lost...

Best. Post. Evar. Paradox!! I love that he totally blew that quote, although it makes me mad it's going to slip by uncorrected.

When Quin took a postion totally opposite from his peers, the befuddled look on frankens face was golden. That out stripped any arguments going on at the time.

Franken's shock that someone like Quin would contradict him.

Wow, incredible how someone like Franken can change a quote to be the exact opposite, and get a free pass. Thanks for the correction paradox.

Al Franken can't even quote Golda Meier truthfully!! What she said was, "Peace will not come to the Middle East until the Palestinians love their children more than they hate the Jews."

He is a first rate idiot!
