WASHINGTON, June 23 (UPI) -- Texas Democratic Rep. Martin Frost now faces scrutiny from the same county prosecutor investigating Republican House Majority Leader Tom Delay of Texas.
Although the investigation of DeLay by Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle, the investigation of Frost only came to light Tuesday.
Roll Call, a newspaper covering the U.S. Congress, reported Wednesday that the move to investigate Frost resulted from a request by Republican state Sen. Bob Deuell, who asked Earle to look into possible illegal contributions by Frost's Lone Star Fund.
Frost stands accused of funneling money donated by corporations and labor unions to legislative candidates through the group, a violation of Texas law.
The charges are similar to those being levied at TRMPAC, a political action group started by DeLay, and being investigated by Earle.
The investigation of Frost is being viewed as the latest in a long-standing feud between the two Texas lawmakers, who are considered the leaders of their respective congressional delegations.
Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle idicts politicians at random whenever he needs publicity.
He indicted Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson and a Democratic State Attorney General.
He has never managed to convict one however.

Ronnie Earle charged Hutchison, then refused to present any evidence on the first day of trial. The jury took five minutes to acquit her.
For what?.....impersonating a Congressman? Went to one of his town meetings a few years and have never seen such a gutless display. People were hammering him on various issues and he could barely justify any of his positions....colossal waste of time.
Tornado Warning for Tom Delay's counties, Ft. Bend and Brazoria until 6 pm local time. Any Texans living in the southwest Houston area need to monitor their radar.
