Yes, I think you're right, they probably had evidence to show that Brocchini did not make up the part about duct tape. Which would mean Geragos DID make up the part about Brocchini lying.

Yes, but why is the spinning in the media so important to Geragos? It makes me think he is counting on the jury being influenced by media reports, and that's just wrong.
IMO, the spinning is all he has...his client is a murderer.
The juror who got kicked off the Scott Peterson jury claims he's received hate mail and death threats for criticizing the prosecution — and says he's so scared, he's moving to another state.
Some people are so emotionally invested in the outcome of this that I'm pretty sure he's not lying.
That's what being glued to the tube too much will do to ya...
GOD when are these HOT AIR BALLOONS of Geragross's gonna stop??? I can't believe that the Talking Heads keep going on about the Prosecution not proving their case. Just read Misfitting.com. Loretta has set out EACH witness and their testimony and how Geragos has been shown wrong. It's brilliant!! AND it IS cohesive and fits together. Don't let any of these mouthpieces tell you any different.

Department of Justice Investigator Testifies in Scott Peterson Murder Trial
"KCBS) - Testimony in the Scott Peterson double murder trial resumed at about 10:20 this morning after a six day holiday recess and an earlier meeting between the judge and the attorneys in the case.
KCBS Reporter Bob Melrose in Redwood City says the meeting took place in chambers and it is not known what it was about.
Once proceedings resumed, the prosecution called Douglas Mansfield, an investigator with the California Department of Justice, to the stand.
Mansfield testified about an interview he conducted with Peterson on December 25th, 2002 that lasted nearly three hours."

I never heard that there was such an interview. Wow, I wonder what was said; I wonder if Scott contradicted any of his earlier answers in Brocchini's interview of him.
Well, well. Scott told Mansfield that Laci was concerned about supposed rapes, etc., done by homeless people in the park, and so she was carrying pepper spray in her purse, and she urged Scott to carry it too.
Later he said she never carried her purse when she took the dog walking in the park.
Laci's THAT concerned about RAPISTS in the park, but she's gonna go walking there alone when she's pregnant and definitely has not been in top physical shape?
Scott said she never carried her purse when she went walking? Then how did she carry her house key? Or is he trying to say she just left the house unlocked--with vicious, dangerous homeless people passing up and down the street at all hours, she's gonna leave the house unlocked??
