At 6:05 this morning, I set out on my journey to Raleigh to attend a grassroots training session. During the meeting, I learned that it was gonna take a lot of work, and that volunteering every minute of the day, if necessary, was gonna be the factor to make sure that President Bush and all Republicans running for all offices. At our lunch break, we had the chance to go down the road and protest the Edwards visit near N.C. State. Many of us gathered our signs and went to the site. Immediately, we were confronted with annebriated Kerry/Edwards fanatics, taunting us and trashing the President. One guy came up to me and told me that "Bush lied about WMDs". Immediately, I cracked back with the phrase, "Bush never lied. Clinton lied about receiving oral sex from Lewinsky(I said it in a more lewd way). Everyone began laughing hard, with the drunk dude walking away. Many of the chants that we used were "Flush the Johns", "If the Johns contain crap, flush 'em" and many more hilarious jabs. Lots of cars honked, which showed to me that many people in Raleigh are in support of Bush, which is a sigh of relief. After our group was able to smack down many more drunk Kerry fans, we packed up and went. After all the heat of the day, from both the sun and the verbal confrontations, We packed up and went home. I would on a personal level, do that every day from now till November 2. I feel that NC will be a resounding victory for GW.
Hey, kiddo! Thanks for all your efforts and devotion to the cause. Kudos!
Why were they drunk? Was Kedwards supplying kegs to get a big crowd?
BTW, Great work!
Thanks. I am not a typican Republican. I can be vulgar and crude, which left many that were there today on both sides a little shocked. I spoke how I felt. But thanks for the support. Just letting people know we young people are out there on the offensive.
You also should have added how slick got the name of sinkmaster !
Of course they were drunk. There was a bar across from where we were standing. Two of them were so drunk, they were sweating beer, and I could smell them ten miles downwind

Chris
Thanks for going to Raleigh to give Kerry and Edwards grief! I should have gone with you all to protest!
I also loved a phrase that I came up with: Whoopi loves Bush!!
They are not that bright to be drinking beer in the hot sun. Dummies!!!
Keep it up. I wish I lived in a swing state.
You make us old dudes happy!
Thank you. Like I said, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I was a bit vulgar in hand gestures and profanity, but I felt it was worth every bit that they got. We all jumped in to the defense of one another.
American elections have featured drunkards all the way back to Washington's day. It's one of our hallowed traditions.
BRAVO BUMP........for standing up to the Kerry kooks!
At times, I had some on my side telling me we needed to take the high road. I felt like smacking them. I wasn't about to let some walking beer bottle trash talk Bush and get away with it. Am I wrong for doing that?
Thank you for the bump!
