Both of you actively corrupt - anonymously - the vital sanctity of duty and command authority that is the foundation of military and LEO cohesiveness. You come onto this forum and openly disparage your commanding officers and the orders, laws and policies they hand down, and of which you are sworn as LEOs to uphold. One wonders how self-professed Marines can compromise their training to maintain the sanctity of command discipline and unit cohesiveness so readily. For this audience.

That's actually amusing.

Where does their ultimate loyalty lie? To their superiors or to the American people and the duty they are sworn to perform?

Before I retired from the Army, we had mandatory classes at least yearly on the UCMJ and ethics. One of the things pounded into us was that if we had knowledge of malfeasance or negligence on the part of anyone up or down our food chain and remained silent, then we could be held equally culpable.

So what are these guys supposed to do when their food chain -- all the way to the top -- is totally non-responsive? Especially when the food chain chooses to ignore the laws of the land and their sole motivation is not operational concerns, but plain old political expediency?

Are they supposed to just remain silent and hope the situation doesn't get worse?

If I disparage Bush, Ridge and the DHS over immigration policy, it's as a citizen with only the responsibilities and standing of any anonymous citizen.
