That was a home-run by Rush.

Thanks for posting it; I would never have seen it if not for your keen eye. Thanks!

The essential point -- that members of our military are being put at RISK for a greater cause -- cannot be emphasized enough.

The Demos must be called on the fact that good news for America at home or abroad is bad news for Kerry.
They must be called on the fact that they are trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
They must be called on the fact that they are presenting the American public as being increasingly demoralized and that if they kill enough of us and so in a savage enough manner, we will quit.
They must be called on the fact that they are the preferred party of the terrorists.

Period.

The Demos are not shy in attacking their opponents. The GOP leadership must not be so reluctant to call the Demos for what they are.

notice my tagline.

I like Bill OReilly. I'm sure he's a nice guy.

But it's not my fault that he doesn't have any cheese on his enchilada plate.

I just call 'em like I see 'em.

O allowed himself to be sucked into the propaganda and mischaracterizations that are Moore's stock-in-trade. He should have seen it coming and smacked it down as soon as it passed Mikeys greasy lips. A golden opportunity missed. Then again, it's hard to nail a guy like Moore due to his total lack of scruples. He would just make up whatever lies he needed on the fly.

Great Article! The video of the Oreilly/Moore debate is on the Foxnews/oreilly site. I was never more disappointed in seeing Oreilly softball Moore. It was almost as if it was planned that way so Moore would agree to go on the show (ratings). If i had a 5 minutes on the floor with MM with an Audience the size of Oreilly's i would ream him so hard he would be embarrassed to show up in public afterwards. Oreilly softballed him on the "sends kids to die" issue , The Bush Lied, WMD in Iraq, Iraq's support for terrorism, etc. It was a major dissapointment. Whatever respect i still had for Oreilly was surely gone by the end of the segment.

O'Reilly is incredibly overrated and the left calls him a conservative....?? He and his "No Spin Zone"... He gets "spun" so much me must be constantly dumb stumbling dizzy. Especially when he's out of his element without some authoritative control being the host.

Moore ate him for lunch...

Rush Limbaugh would have O'Reilly babbling incoherently in a debate.

The way Mike "Slim" Moore posed the question to O'Reilly you would think that our military is comprised of children who are forced to serve against their will...

Rush is correct. Bill should have shot down Moore's bullsh!t propaganda premise.

Shows class.
Peter Young, Florence

Last Wed we were in Colo Springs for the AF Academy graduation; featured speaker was George W Bush. A little long winded, but the speech was punctuated with a lot of applauses, which suggested that a lot of the military brass in attendance support him. However, what was more impressive to me was the fact that he personally saluted and congratulated every single cadet that crossed the stage, my son included.

There were nearly 1000 cadets and this process took 1 hour, 40 minutes. I watched him through my zoom, and he displayed the personal touch all the way through: every cadet was saluted; the men were then given a hand shake and often a pat on the shoulder with his left hand or some other personal words; the women were all given a hug and some of the women cadets also gave him a kiss on the check. Occasionally a cadet would ask for a "wave to my parents" and then the cadet and the president would turn to the crowd and wave in the correct direction. He showed as much enthusiasm to the middle and last cadets as to the first ones -- in fact, he looked like he was enjoying himself!

At the Academy graduation, the "top 10%" are noted as Distinguished Graduates (known as "DG's" -- the Academy doesn't have summa, magna cum laude, etc.) and they graduate first. The rest of the graduates walk across by squadron (36 squadrons). 5 years ago when Clinton was there, he only personally congratulated the DG's (takes about 10 minutes) and then he sat down.

Bush was offered the same option, but refused - said he wanted to recognize every single graduate.

This is the stuff about what the man does that never makes the news....

Rush should complete class while rising in defense of our men and women in service.

O'Reilly owes them an apology.

Thanks skyman. I'm sure wives and husbands and parents didn't send their loved ones to work on 911 to die either. Same goes for all of our citizens who have died at the hands of terrorists around the world. This article says it all. At least W is actively trying to keep this from happening again......more than I can say for, ahem, the previous administration and I'm sure that every precious soldier that dies for this cause affects him deeply.
