HILLARY'S ADVICE TO PREZ
NY Post ^ | 7/31

July 31, 2004 -- BOSTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton warned President Bush against evoking too many 9/11 images in his re-election campaign and the GOP convention in New York or Americans would reject him as an "exploiter." Clinton said that while Bush, as commander in chief, is entitled to bring up and talk about the 9/11 terror attacks, relying on it too heavily will invite criticism and ultimately backfire.

"It has to be done in a careful way or people will think he's exploiting it," said Clinton in an interview with The Post at the end of the Democratic convention.

"He is the president, so he has a right to bring it up, but if he's not careful, people will think he's exploiting it" for partisan advantage, said Clinton.

If any input of hers were needed, she would have been asked for it.

Kerry can nominate Hillary, but there is no way the Senate would confirm her. I would be willing to stake everything on that bet.

Hillery, "...relying on it too heavily will invite criticism and ultimately backfire.

But it's the right thing to do. And W has the courage to do what is right, while not fearing the "consequences".

"Clinton warned President Bush against evoking too many 9/11 images in his re-election campaign"

Never forget. We cannot be reminded enough these days!

Kerry cannot protect America. He is unwilling to make the hard decisions necessary. Every 9-11 image reminds America of that. *That* is what she is afraid of.

If not mistaken wasn't that supposedly one (of the many) speculated place WJC was going to go if algore were elected?
I am not sure what his dis-barred status will do to that, but you know hillary just may settle for Chief Justice -- now that is right out of "1984" with the reasoning of "Catch 22"
You can surely sleep well at night with Lurch as Prez, pretty boy as Veep, Evita as 1st lady, Hillary as Chief Justice, Bill as UN rep, Teddy boy as ATTY GEN, with Gephardt, Sharpton, Dean and Denny K in high profile Cabinet positions.
Pleasant dreams.

Exactly opposite. The GOP Convention should have a shadow of the twin towers as their background behind the stage with the names of all those who were killed there.

I recall old ugly Hillary exploited 9/11 right after it happened. Remember her ugly mug on camera telling the world how terrified she was because Chelsea was jogging there. What an old bag wind she is. Argh, she bugs me, she is such shameless POS.

I forgot the main point, Chelsea was even near there. Apparently she wasn't aware of lie the beast that spawned her had told and told some paper she was several miles away at a friends house.

Who do we want to offend? The Democrats or the jihadists who broadcast their convention? Screw 'em. The poet in me thinks the 9/11 hymn should be sung at the Convention at every opportunity just to remind the country something changed forever in ALL of our lives. And the best is yet to come. True patriots who love their country are NOT ashamed of honoring the precious memory of the dead and the living. God Bless The Fallen Dead of 9/11 and God Bless America.

President Bush needs to talk about 9/11. He needs to talk about it alot. Every speaker who comes to the podium in New York needs to remind people about what happened on that day the same way every speaker in Boston reminded people about Kerry's Vietnam service. The reason is that President Bush is taking the only one taking action to try to prevent another 9/11 from happening. Reminding people what happened that day is the only way to keep people's eyes on the prize on trying to stop it from happening again. That is what Bush is doing in Iraq and did in Afghanistan. He needs to mention this because of this disgusting line in the Kerry speech:

"Let there be no mistake: I will never hesitate to use force when it is required. Any attack will be met with a swift and certain response."

Now, I am glad to hear that Kerry will hit someone or something AFTER we are attacked but that is not what the job of the Commander in Chief. I hope many people remind us at the RNC about this fact. Constantly. Constantly. It's the only way Bush can win and Bush winning is the only way we can protect our country longterm.

It has to be done in a careful way or people will think he's exploiting it," said Clinton in an interview with The Post at the end of the Democratic convention.

Someone should thank Hillary for her concern. /sarcasm

If it would backfire on him why in the world is she warning him against it? You'd think she would want him to screw up.
