Kerry/Edwards lawyers warn TV stations over Swift Boat ad

In Rush's closing segment he said that he just received a story or document saying that lawyers for both the Kerry and Edwards teams were sending out letters to TV stations warning them about showing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement!

It is not there to protect political speech that dares blaspheme demi-gods like Kerry.

Truth is a defense. The Dim loses must also show actual malice because Kerry is a public figure to prevail.

Putting the TV stations on notice probably heightens the TV station's theoretical liability.

But it won't stop these Clymers from threatening the TV stations with a lawsuit. I bet a lot of these TV stations will decline to show the commercial because of the mere threat of litigation.

Leave it to the Rats to put a chilling effect on freedom of speech.
