OK YOU DOUBTERS OF OUR FINDINGS, RASSMUSSEN VERY NEARLY AGREES WITH US. OBVIOUSLY RECENT VETS DON'T HAVE THE SAME AX TO GRIND AS VIETNAM VETS SO HIS POLLING RESULTS OF 58% TO 35% IS TOTALLY CONSISTENT WITH OUR 66% TO 33% FINDING AMONG VIETNAM VETS.

Thursday August 05, 2004--A Rasmussen Reports survey shows that military veterans prefer George W. Bush over John Kerry by a 58% to 35% margin. Those with no military service favor Kerry by ten percentage points, 51% to 41%...

Yes, but it also says that by 51% to 41% non military vets favor Kerry"
This is loony! The number of non vets versus vets is abour 25:1. If this is true, its over and it aint over. What gives Scott?

I personally think the number of Viet Nam vets who dislike Kerry is higher unless Kerry is including ones that died and can't vote. I would not put anything past a pollster.

There are approximately 25-30 million vets, obviously all of voting age. Where did you get the 25:1 ratio?

there are 25 million veterans alive, coupled with there families they make a very large voting block probably about 90 to 110 million total, in contrast with the non-military families of another 110-120 million the math does work out here. They balance themselves nicely.

The Viet vets obviously despise Hanoi John and for good reason. Draftees and volunteers had a one year obligation in Nam. You counted your days. If you died, your tour ended; if you were badly hurt you might or might not get to go home. Like Clinger, many tried to play the angles, almost all stayed a year. Not Bug-out John!

Then, after sneaking out early, when he got home, he bad mouthed the guys he deserted and, by taking the side of the enemy, killed an uncertain number of those who stood by their obligation. Hanoi still reveres the aid and comfort it got from Traitor John!!

The vets after Nam weren't betrayed by John and may not know of Joh's cowardice or treason and may not have been effected by either.

"unless Kerry is including ones that died and can't vote." Errr, I think the Dems found a way around that. They have a way of getting the dead to the polling booths.
