In honor of places that we know we could eat without being interupted by Kerry... Please post your favorite BBQ joint, where it is and what your favorite thing is at that place...
If you don't mind eating off butcher paper, and wiping your hands with paper towels, LOL...
..it's great barbecue....soooo tender!!!
And the side dishes....a carbohydrate lovers dream :) ....included potato salad, great cole slaw, and oh my goodness banana pudding.
Forget counting the calories at this place.
And while I'm at it.....we also visited the BEST donot shop ever!!
The Lone Star Bakery ...home of Round Rock Donuts!!!

Actually, I was in Texas last year and had the best BBQ I had ever tasted.
Just north of San Antonio... "Rudy's" I think.
Unfortunately it*s not there anymore and neither are any other good BBQ places:-(
Is the seafood there barbequed?
L.A. isn't known for it's BBQ, but I'll bet that issue probably listed Buster's in Saticoy and Dr. Hogely Wogely in Van Nuys.
"Sunset" had a great article on Western BBQ. They also featured "Santa Maria BBQ" - all up and down Broadway in Santa Maria, different church, civic and social groups sell BBQ in shopping center parking lots. It's

I live in Missouri and have eaten at Arthur Bryant's, Gates, and a bunch of other really great barbeque places. But I've got to admit that I ate the best ribs I've ever eaten at Corky's. I was down there for a convention a couple of years ago and The Rendesvouz hosted our group on their main level. They set up buffet lines with all kinds of barbeque. That was pretty good but dinner at Corkys the following night beat it.
The food's OK but you have a sense that you don't belong.

Stubbs in Austin is good.
Two places in NYC where you'll never find Deaniac soybean eaters:
Virgil's in Times Square. The Texas Link and the brisket are my favorites. Also the best onion rings on earth.
And any of the Brother Jimmy's outposts. Go for the rib combo with three styles of ribs.
Must to avoid: The Dallas BBQ chain with parboiled ribs and 32-ounce neon-colored frozen drinks.
