I personally will be celebrating when mid-November rolls around and Hanoi John is defeated, the elections are over and the campaign BS is off the air - but then Ill have to put up with the democrats whining about another stolen election.
I don't understand this part.
Who is "corsi" and "trucons" and what was said or done that makes it part of an anti-swift comment?
So, I am looking for some additional/new good talking points.
Much has been made of the fact that Kerry volunteered, although I know upon graduation Kerry first requested a deferment which was declined. I volunteered (ROTC) for the Army. I remember when I arrived in country, everyone said whatever you do, don't go to the (First) Cav. Soooo, when I got the 1st Cav, they said whatever you do, don't go to the 1/9th. So when I got to the First of the Ninth. . .
Anyway volunteering for the Navy would seem to have been safer than volunteering for the Army. I know Kerry first spent sometime offshore on a guided missile frigate in the Gulf of Tonkin. I remember reading somewhere that Kerry's first job was supervisoring deck crews stripping paint (or some other boring, unpleasant jobs) and that to avoid this he volunteered for swift boats which up until the time he volunteered had not been used in combat, but rather to deliver smail and supplies so it seemed like a good option, but that right after he volunteered, much to Kerry's surprise as he thought he was going to be the officer in charge of a small (pleasure) yacht, their mission changed putting them into heavy combat. Is this correct? Anyone know where to find more info on this?
Also, I understand just after Kerry chased and shot a wounded enemy solider in the back, he then went to the PX and bought a camera to go back and recreate and film it for later use in his political campaigns. I am not familiar with Navy/Marine uniforms, but again I remember reading that the uniform in this homemade movie was that of a Marine officer uniform that he was not authorized to wear. Is this correct? (Impersonating an officer is a serious offense although I suppose this will not matter to the general voting public (but perhaps it will to some Veterans.)
The issue of Kerry wearing a Marine Uniform is a new one to me, but I've heard it now a few times in the last few days. However, I watch very little TV, and last night I saw footage of Kerry in green fatigues, a combat helmet, and perhaps an M-16 (?). I'm sure of the green fatigues and helmet. It struck me as really odd because that is not a naval uniform. Perhaps it had been in Vietnam, but I sure don't remember it having been.
It certainly would have been a Marine uniform, however.
The only shows I watched last night were O'Reilly (11 PM) and Brit Hume (12 AM)....odds are that was where I saw the footage, unless I channel-surfed at a commercial.

Drudge 08-08-2004
Exclusive: Swift Officers and Vets:
Kerry lied about spending Christmas in CambodiaKerry: I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by the Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the president of the United States telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia. I have that memory which is seared--seared--in me.
DRUDGE has learned from the accounts of Swift Boat officers and Kerrys crewmembers that Kerry was never in Cambodia. UNFIT FOR COMMAND authors charge that Kerry made it all up.
Despite the dramatic memories of his Christmas in Cambodia, Kerrys statements are complete lies, according to John ONeil, co-author and the Swift Boat commander who took over Kerrys boat. Kerry was never in Cambodia during Christmas 1968, or at all during the Vietnam War. . . . he was more than fifty miles away from Cambodia.
Kerry was stationed at Coastal Division 13 in Cat Lo. Coastal Division 13s patrol areas extended to Sa Dec, about 55 miles from the Cambodian border. . . . Tom Anderson, Commander of River Division 531, who was in charge of PBRs (small river patrol crafts] confirmed that there were no Swifts anywhere in the area and they would have been stopped had they appeared.
All the living commanders in Kerrys chain of command . . . deny that Kerry was ever ordered to Cambodia. They indicate that Kerry would have been seriously disciplined or court-martialed had he gone there. At least three of the five crewmen on Kerrys boat, Bill Zaldonis, Steven Hatch, and Steve Gardner, deny that they or their boat were ever in Cambodia.
Kerry Fitness Reports in Vietnam Show Him Unfit for Command
(Explodes Central Kerry Campaign Lie)
Kerrys FITREPs are awash in dings, and some of the reports border on the adverse, particularly his combat FITREPs. The FITREPs convey significant performance problems and suggest problems in conduct, so much so that it is surprising that the campaign chose to release them. This may suggest that the FITREPs held from public view are even more adverse.
In what would customarily be an opportunity for a glowing swan song FITREP, the Commanding Officer of USS Gridley (DLG-21) tacitly blasts Kerry on his departure for Swift Boat duty by ranking him significantly below the norm in desirability for virtually every Navy assignment possible - command, staff, whatever. He is a ship handler who is dinged in ship handling. He is in line for command, but his CO doesnt want him near the bridge. He is slammed in all performance areas - most notably and significantly in initiative and reliability. The nice narrative emphasizes performance in collateral duties, but in the grades and marks, the CO is telling the selection board and detailer loud and clear that this officer is lazy, unreliable and not suited for command. 3 SEP 68 (W.E. HARPER).
should read "..... and other KERRY BS". Kerry is such a lying jerk !
Good morning Ed.
Bumping for donations to the Swift Boat Vet funds.
Donations to keep their tv ads going is as important as with our donations to Free Republic and to re elect GW.
Thanks Meek.
That movie review is like a giant newspaper rolled up to swat the critters of Komrade Kerry's Kerrorists/aka Lannie Davis and his boy friends, who are trying to smear these honorable vets.
Beautiful!
The TRUTH always prevails.
God Bless these vets for the heat they are going to take. I just ask God to protect and give them strength.
The left is desperate and they are falling apart daily.
The Good guys always wins in the end.
Looks like the DNC will regret messing with a Freeper! Ha ha. Good work you guys, you are awewome!
Good Morning Dave!
I'm sending another donation tomorrow.
Did you see the link I Freepmailed you?
Now, if we can get several thousand freepers to donate to the Swiftboat Vets funds to buy more tv ads, that will be another sharp stick in the maggot eyes of those monitoring FR.
Write me one and I will send it to our local paper
