Oh, I don't know - seems pretty applicable to me.
A) Kerry's wounds were self-inflicted.
B) Kerry is his own worst enemy.
Ergo...
This is one heck of a vanity.........THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
BOX 13: NATURE OF DISCHARGE: HONORABLE
Also his DD 214 is not showing his Silver Star, Bronze Star, three Purple Hearts, Vietnam Service medal and Vietnam Campaign medal.
John Kerry is the vain one .... this is not a vanity, this is unique info!
Hate to bust your bubble but this looks like his discharge from being on "enlisted status" (for 3 months during officer training).
This is merely an administrative discharge action, issued concurrent with his commissioning and reentry into service as an officer.
Sorry, I believe that there are 2 pages, look at the same section on page 2. The first is his 214 for end of enlisted service and beginning of Officer commission following OCS. This is normal. The second page lists his awards while serving as a commissioned officer. The 2 DD214s is normal in that the first ends the enlisted contract so that the commission can take affect.
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Nice find!
Info sent along to Drudge. Look for the blinking siren soon. ;-)
two points.
1. Block 27 looks BAD for Hanoi John.
2. Block 32 is alos bad as it points out that he continued on as an Ensign in the USNR. Thus, he was subject to the UCMJ during his anti-war days. One wonders why his elitist ass was not charged.

Are you talking about box 27 on page 1? It looks like that entry (as shown in box 19c) was made on 8/19/66, before he went to Vietnam. Sorry, nothing to see here.
Where did you find this? this is great!
Carolyn
Box#27 Service Data, first page is the "Wounds received as a result of action with enemy forces" Not applicable.
Also, there appears to be a sheet missing as well "Vietnam Campaign Purple Heart (3 Awards) (See attached sheet)"
Before we go flying off the deep end here, it looks to me like that particular line about wounds received as a result of enemy action on line 27 applies only to his time in training at Newport. It is part of the Service Data section for this portion of his enlistment and is followed by VA Data and Authentication. This portion of the form would have been filled out when he was discharged from OCS and sent to active duty with the Navy.
The Service Data section that covers his time in Vietnam (did you know he served in Vietnam?!?) is on the following page. This form does not have a similar line regarding wounds received, but does include his three Purple Hearts.
This may not be a smoking gun here. Sorry to rain on the parade.
P.S. I am not a troll.
Page 1 is his discharge from enlisted ranks (OCUI2 (E-5)) to accept a commission. Happened before he went to VN. Page 2 is his release from service after VN.
Carolyn
The first page appears to have been issued as he was completing OCS. The second, when he got out to run for Congress.
That happens regularly on that website.
