Yep, we the people of California voted against it. But the scumbag Mayor of San Francisco decided to issue them anyway.

The same way the liberals always do. If you don't like what the people decide, simply ignore them and take it to court and try to get your pet judges to overturn them.

they should have an amendment on the ballot in november. i don't understand how come massachusetts can tell the people there what they should accept if they've never been asked. it's not right. i feel sorry for them.

The 'Rats doing some damage control before the November elections? I would like to see how the decision is worded. I'll bet that it basically says, "Not this way, come back next year with a different approach".

Are any of these 'unmixed-marriage types' holed up in a mosque?

Oh no....I suppose the stock I just bought in old Gladiator movies is now going to take a dive!!! I can hear the Gerbils yelling, "free, we are free, thank God Almighty, we are free at last"!

I hear this kind of talk in church on a regular basis, which makes it really ugly. This kind of classless gay-bashing is de riguer among conservatives, folks who would never speak like this about any other group in society.

I'd like to see the day when we could argue for sexual standards without having this crap injected into the discussion. Sorry if you don't like hearing this, but this kind of talk is really beneath Freepers. You just don't realize it yet.

I agree with you. However, I never hear anyone at my church talking like this, even though the church's stand is against homosexual marriage. It would upset me if I heard people talking like that.

How PC.

What a brushoff. How about you explain to me why it's cool to make crass jokes about gays and their sexual behavior in the context of a political forum? "PC" my arse.

Thanks for a bit of sanity. It's hard, though, to find a gay marriage thread on FR without a bunch of 'God hates all Fags' people joining in. There are plenty of rational reasons not to support gay marriage / gay rights without bringing bigotry and hatred in.

And yes, religious convictions are one of the reasons. However, I would argue that religion never sanctions bigotry.
