I thought it might be useful to get some basics down from Brinkley's book; the people, the boats, the timelines. This time I was able to get a non-large print version of Tour of Duty, so I will be able to highlight the pages where the information is located. I'm starting with Chapter 10, since that concerns the events of Christmas Eve, 1968)
Kerry's boat at Christmas 1968 was the PCF-44 (Page 209). Men on board the PCF-44 are as follows: Drew Whitlow (209), James Wasser, Radarman (213) also second in command (228); Stephen Hatch, Bosun's Mate (214), Stephen Gardner, Gunner's Mate (215) Bill Zaldonis, Engine Man (160). Gardner is the SBVfT member. Zaldonis and Hatch are apparently supporting Kerry, but also refuse to confirm the Cambodia story. These men are the ones to interview! What was the time of their service with John Kerry?
Kerry's second Swift boat is the PCF-94, which he takes over on January 30, 1969, after the prior skipper, Tedd Peck, is seriously wounded and sent home. Prior to Peck, the skipper of PCF-94 had been Tom Heritage. The crew of PCF-94 are as follows: Del Sandusky (262), Gene Thorson, engine man (262), Michael Medeiros, bosun's mate (263), David Alston, gunner's mate (263) Thomas Belodeau, radarman (264). All are current Kerry supporters.

Kerry people have already admitted his original story was a lie. The only thing they can try to do now is create a new story or timeline in which they can try to claim Kerry is merely a liar but not delusional.
Vietnam Vets Against Kerry spokesman on with Hannity now.
His timeline claims that in Brinkley's book, there's a quote about not having been fired on yet....supposed 9 days after his first PH (proving medal was falsely gained?)

seared - seared in my memory".
I don't give a flying fudge what anyone says, you don't mistake Xmas or Xmas Eve with other days. If someone is shooting at you on Xmas Eve it will be seared, seared, into your brain. There is no wiggle room on this, Sen. Kerry. What is it, a lie or not?
Someone said, instead of the memory being seared. - seared - in Kerry's memory, maybe now it is only lightly roasted.
Naaa. He just took too many hits on the bong.
It is a little known fact that the government used medals and decorations as a method of bolstering morale during the Vietnam war. The saying was, 'medals from heaven'. Commanding officers signed almost everything put in front of them, because it was difficult to check out the facts in all cases. A man named Gardener, the machine gunner who was on Kerry's boat, states that Kerry wrote the citations and after action reports himself. It explains the recent flap with Captain Elliott over the Boston Globe article. The same goes for the glowing performance reports that Kerry people point to. Such performance reports are read between the lines. In fact this is the way it has many times been with Officer Performance Reports in all the services. John Kerry gamed the system to fashion a military record for use in a political career. Please read UNFIT TO COMMAND. It is affidavited, footnoted and documented. John Kerry's election to the office of president would be disastrous for our country
Watching someone caught in the trap of their own lie is very ugly. Johnny boy should just come clean and release all of his military records. It's a good week for Dems to come out of the darkness and step down.
Flambéed, my good man, Flambéed !
Sauteed, nes pas?

Over a month ago, C-SPAN aired an interview program with some of the PCF-94 crewmen. Mike Medeiros claimed he kept detailed logs of the boat's operations under Kerry's command. He will be a key person to ask specific questions pertaining to Kerry's Cambodia lie. I hope Kerry's campaign people don't pressure any of the crewmen to lie in order to support the "new and improved" version of the Cambodia lie being worked on by flackmeister Douglas Brinkley.
We will need to hammer on the mental condition of Kerry. He told a story of leaving Vietnam with his arm bandaged (according to his account) and on the flight to Boston he started a commotion from a "flashback" while sleeping. It scared the heck out of those around him, and Kerry said the other passengers near him moved away from where he was sleeping - just in case.
Both of his wives have reported that he has nightmares from his "combat" in Vietnam (and also probably Cambodia as those secret missions are always so extra scary!) Did Kerry get any PTSD treatment from the VA hospitals for these episodes? Inquiring minds need to know how unbalanced he really is.
Also, I watched campaign coverage on Kerry leaving his airplane about 10 days to 2 weeks ago: he carried his black attache case in hand down the steps and toward the awaiting crowd. One wonders why he would carry that attache case on the campaign trail (it supposedly has a secret compartment for the floppy bush hat given to him by grateful SEALs and CIA agents on his secret Cambodia mission) when he would be needing to use both hands to "press the flesh" for the well wishers on the flight line.
Any presidential candidate who is living fantasies about being a combat hero needs professional treatment. Dr. Gerald Posner, where are you when we really need you?
