12:05 PM CDT on Thursday, August 19, 2004
PLANO Life is on the wild side beneath the backyard patio deck of Gail Grau's Plano home.
Animal control officers called to the home Wednesday captured a mother bobcat. Now, they're going after three bobcat kittens they believe are under the back deck.
Animal Trapper Cliff Moore and his crew has removed part of the deck to search for the kittens.
Grau said she first noticed the mother about two weeks ago, but didn't call animal control until she found her and her litter had settled in her backyard.

Have you ever seen a badger? They are out there too. Not very common, but can be found.
My friend, who lives in Shady Shores (N. of Dallas, almost walked into a bobcat one Sunday morning as he walked around the corner of his house. They both stopped and looked at each other and then the bobcat just walked away and across the street. He said they were about 6 feet apart.
Nope. We have seen beaver dams on some small streams within 50 miles of Austin. Someone said there was a mountain lion spotted in the hill country about 70 miles west of here. Guess there are lots of creatures living in the woods.
Where are you at in the Telco corridor? I'm at SBC, (Glenview & Greenville). The area where I've seen the bobcat is at the Spring Creek Nature trail at the north end of Glenville.
Later,
Dave
I'm at Shiloh and Renner Rd at Rockwell Collins.

Click each county to read the reports/statements. Some are in your area maybe??
I remember the one from Lawton, Oklahoma in 1971.
A friend of mine said he and some other people saw it jump off a motel second story railing and run off.
Her friend lost his fins (it was quite rough out there that day), so she came in and they ended up not diving.
Later they found out the shark attack on the coast was 10 miles from them. A shark bit the head off of one of the divers, and the other one survived.
When I lived in the Santa Cruz Mountains some time ago, we would see Mountain Lions and their scat quite often. I was well armed to say the least...
Where in Plano was this?
For about a month!
