Didn't the Supreme Court Already rule on the 527's?? SCOTUS ruled on CFR (and found some of it legal -- damn the luck).
The FEC has declined to rule on the 527s until after the election.

The other thing is that this isn't going to play well with the public. All the ads against President Bush and he's never once whined over it. One ad by vets confronting Kerry and he runs to the FEC. Whaaa!!!
