All it takes is video of one flag-burning outside and Bush takes the election. In Boston, it happened but wasn't publicized or televised because the protests were rather lame.

The Swiftees are NOT in any way subsidized nor affiliated with the GOP/RNC;unlike the connection between the Dems and MoveOn etc.!
Kerry wants it to still be 1968,or 1972,so he'll have to live with the flap over his lies.
It appears that "THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW HISTORY,ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT",holds true. LOL
Every protester, every little anarchist and old hippie, are going to deliver a landslide for Bush. They just can't control themselves,no matter WHAT some "cooler heads" say. They will, unfortunately,do something terrible. And yes,as the shouted ,as some silly battle cry,in 1968,THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING. Fat lot of "good" it them back then.... and it'll generate reaction in 2004! LOL
To: MadIvan
Anarchists are going to have a tea party??!!???? I think I'd vote "anyone but Kerry" just so I wouldn't even be remotely connected to such a silly idea.
I mean, jeeesssh! And we are to take them seriously?

I was worried about the protests. now I am rather looking forward to them *g*

One anarchist group will hold a tea party outside the mayors mansion; other events include a Books not Bombs youth convergence, a hip-hop protest and party and a public reading of the American constitution.
This is my favorite part. If they are anarchists, what do they care what the Constitution says? I'm sure I'm not the only person who sees the irony here.

The quote you refer to is the worst but this one
Heavily financed by Republican sympathisers close to Bush, the group has also produced a television advertisement that appears to have provoked a sharp decline in support for Kerry among veterans also shows the Times deep sympathies for Kerry.
I give it a "C", tops.

Let's see, acid and nail studded potatoes. This ought to show just how dims play the political game. Sadly, if this were to happen, there will be some pubbies that will be paying the ultimate price. And don't forget the marbles they plan on throwing under the police horses' feet. They should be tarred and feathered for even thinking of such a thing.
God help them if they do this in front of a Republican 2nd Amendment horse lover!

Good post. I work in NYC and live in the borough of Queens and I have talked to the people here and they DO NOT want the protestors here. And they are Democrats. They know that most of the protestors are not from NYC and that makes them even more madder that they would invade NY and start trouble. Don't be surprised if you read about typical NYers taking on the Protestors!

At St Mark's last week, activists emphasised their commitment to non-violent protest. One anarchist group will hold a tea party outside the mayor's mansion; other events include a Books not Bombs youth convergence, a hip-hop protest and party and a public reading of the American constitution. Sheesh, what a bunch of losers. The Democrat party has turned into such a joke. If they wonder why they can't seem to find their "center," it's because they truly don't have one. They're a loose amalgamation of splinter groups, each one formed around a core of hating something. They're a repulsive bunch of misfits.

The Republicans will do all they can to make the street protesters look like the disruptive, concealed and explosive heart of the Democratic party, warned Norman Mailer, the writer who is one of New Yorks best-known liberals. They won't even have to break a sweat to get that job done. The protesters will do it for them!

"Kerry filed a formal complaint to stop the advertisements this weekend, claiming the SBVT has been acting as a front for the Bush campaign."Censorship!
Bush never tried to censor Fahrenheit 9/11! What's Kerry afraid of--the truth? And the Democrats gave Michael Moore a "seat of honor" at the Democrat National Convention!

Ummmm...aren't political ads USUALLY politically motivated?

I mean, jeeesssh! And we are to take them seriously? I have read tooooo many articles where the liberal protestors are given all the news space and if we're lucky the consertive protestors are given the 'token' last paragraph. The media sucks. Don't ever trust reporters.

What if Al-Qaeda hit NY with a dirty bomb and thousands were killed during the opening of the convention? The chances of them pulling off something big at the convention are very low. They haven't been able to do anthing for almost 3 years, and for them now to do something where the security will be the most intense is very unlikely.
To: MadIvan
Kerrys decision to make his Vietnam war record the centrepiece of his run for the White House has embroiled the Democratic challenger in an increasingly vicious battle over his time as the young commander of a US Navy Swift patrol boat. Kerry asked for it. He invited the scrutiny.
And the Bush campaign can stay with Kerry's Senate record....Something Kerry is also trying to avoid.
To: nopardons; MadIvan; All
Is there a way to find out who is financially backing any of the (so far)"announced anarchists attendees"??
I hope it's not too late to "search" for info on AS MANY OF THEM AS CAN POSSIBLY BE DONE ASAP this soon before the RNC convention, before they "scrub" their sites (like kerry has done) to try to cover up any "ties, lies,or trails" that lead back to the dnc and kerry.
With all the very quickly growing "complaints" to the FEC, and the "6 degrees of separation" game with GWB substituting for Kevin Bacon, the dems & their 527's,and all the "anti-Bush" & "trouble-making" financially backed dnc "black-ops" groups are "shreading and deleting" 24/7.
IMHO...as I type this, I'd wager the "word" is out to ALL dem groups to make sure they are "found to be clean" so they won't have any "problems", even "little ones",like the SV "flyer" that was
"found" by a "everyday normal citizen" in a RNC campaign "site" in FLA.....

Evidently, you don't understand the definition of the verb "to lie." In liberal lingo, it means "to tell the truth" or "to contradict enemy propaganda."

Democratic officials are keeping their distance from a potentially explosive grassroots upheaval that may prove to be dangerously counterproductive for Senator John Kerry, .

Considering Lurch's activities back in 1971, he's just one of them.
