Former Georgia Senator Max Cleland, left, and former Green Beret Lt. Jim Rassmann, center, approach a Secret Service Agent, right, on station at the check point to the entrance of President Bush (news - web sites)'s ranch Wednesday Aug. 25, 2004 in Crawford, Texas. Cleland tried to deliver a letter protesting ads challenging John Kerry (news - web sites)'s Vietnam service to President Bush at his Texas ranch Wednesday, but the Secret Service stopped Cleland short of his goal. >>He then could have come out and said, "We had a great conversation. As I've said many times, I believe Sen. Kerry served with distinction and I again call on him in joining me to put a stop to all 527 ads."
naah, President Bush handled it fine. If he had made an
exception for this guy who would show up next? Then the story
would be playing favorites. Bush already addressed the
issue fully on Monday.
That's a rolled-up copy of the New York Times he uses to swat away pests.
Probably because they're not co-ordinating their strategy with any outside people.
This may have been Cleland's idea and not Kerry's. Cleland is a disciple of GA Jimmy.
Hey Kerry we can all hear the implosion of your campaign. Your toast......along with all the RATS!!!! God I'm lovin' it ;o)
Why is it when a man acts honorably, beyond the letter of law--- as Ginsburg has done--- do we consider this a "loss" for our side?
Why do we not lift high Ginsburg's actions as an example of what should be done??
Have we, too, fallen prey to the seduction of the MSM?
Keep the faith, friend. Keep the faith.
this is not my opinion, it is simply an observation - its good to watch and listen to some of the news sources that the sheeple do - to get a perspective that FR and talk radio doesn't show.
I believe you are referring to Dave Roever.
I know bestow upon you a bachelor's degree in Freepology.
i THINK THAT THIS IS A VERY PROFOUND STATEMENT. NOT ONLY PRODUCTS NOW PEOPLE. The Democrat party is pretty decadent and in decay.
I think his name is Dave Roever (sp)........an inspirational man to say the least.
This is awful to some, I know, but I remember Max Cleland all through the 1970's, as Jimmy Carter's heroic-triple-amputee-obviously-from-enemy-action poster boy. But...when you then make yourself a political pawn, you forfeit your right to pity. When Jim Brady spoke before the DNC convention in 1996 to push confiscatory gun legislation, he did the same. As far as _this_ Vietnam combat vet is concerned,
Max Cleland is the Black Knight. Need I elaborate?
"I know bestow upon you a bachelor's degree in Freepology."
:) Thanks
Kerry will use any dirty trick to win,Bush cannot slow down he has to be on the offensive at all times!!!!!!!!!!
