I think it was played at the scheduled time.
Emily Latella voice: Never mind
Only to those people who are subjects and not citizens ... :)
Baseball is America's pastime.
I'm sure John Kerry likes soccer. If we keep going toward some sort of great love for soccer in this nation (other than as a fun playground game) we might as well vote for Kerry.
They'll just show a few highlights tonight.
Soccer remains a "pure" sport in this country. Not much money--one plays for the love of the game, the skill required, and the great overall conditioned athlete.
They showed something on a channel earlier. And now NBC has it on...(I think again).
And your right...many won't watch an entire soccer game.
I played the sport for quite a while....and I won't watch it. Its just barely fun enough to play...I never understood why people would want to watch it.
To me its a playground sport, what little kids play, we grow up to play football and basketball and other sports, I have got to admit though I have been watching more of it lately, not so much for the sport more of the fans and the announcers.
uh.... the summary states the outcome on the forum summary page...
This was a poorly written post. You have got to put some lines that don't reveal the outcome so when the site auto-summarizes it doesn't reveal.
but whatever...
I wouldn't mind getting man handled by those Brazilian soccer Thugettes. Though my preferences would lie with the volleyball team.
Don't complain to me about it, I didn't post the thread.
Lessee. Is this a high-fiver or a Haha. I can't tell with some of you... teehee.
High five if you LOVE baseball.
*sigh*
Brandi Chastain..
Are you kidding me...those girls are a class act.
Did you see the post-game interviews?
It's not really a spoiler, it just ended on Live TV.
If there was to be a replay later on, maybe, but I doubt there is.
They are a class act. It only takes one disgruntled bench warmer, though . . .
Yes, and they'd make her out to be speaking for the whole team.
I don't see it happening with this bunch though.
They, along with our other Olympians are making the USA proud.
People who are "boycotting" watching the Games don't know what they're missing.
I've always thought of basketball as more of a playground sport. You bounce a ball around and then you toss it up in the air and try to make it drop through a metal hoop. Even though there is some minor contact in basketball, if you so much as touch an opponent on the hand when he's trying to take a shot, you get a penalty called on you. They even allow more physical contact in soccer than they do in basketball.
