"We will see Kerry supporters outside the convention next week with "Free Palestine" signs from ANSWER."

The correct response is: give them Syria or Lebanon.

Maybe repeating that Jews vote like commies over and over and over on FR gets tiresome because all of us on FR are CONSERVATIVES. And yes, I anticipate a much bigger Jewish vote for Bush this time than last time. You'll see.

From the article you linked: The study, sponsored by the National Jewish Democratic Council,

Hmmmmm.... ever wonder which Jews this particular council is talking to? It can't be a random poll, can it? They would have to call about 20,000 people in order to randomly locate enough people who say they are Jewish to fill the survey. So they must be calling Jews from a list. And that list, if coordinated by the National Jewish Democratic Council can't be all that random, can it?

HaEretz is the most leftist newspaper in Israel. The Television stations announced Gore winning the election but I see Bush in office.

You have to weigh the sources you read, Garbage in, Garbage out you know...

Nah, give them Syria, Lebanon was given to the Christians. Arafat killed around 100,000 of them when he was setting up a "Palestinian State" up there.

Out of a hundred people, 10 will complain about the genocide of Jews, but out of a thousand, only one about the slaughter of Christians. If they hate the Jews because of their God, the really hate the Christians for their Jewish Messiah.

'Palestinian refugees will not be resettled in Israel "

Bush's platform cares more about Israel than he does California! What about the Mexican refugees who are being allowed to settle here? The platform committee has rejected taking a stand on illegal immigration and this is why I will stay home this November. What country is he running for office again?

"We believe that terror attacks against Israelis are part of the same evil as the September 11 attacks against America," it continues. "We recognize Israel's right to defend itself in the face of homicide bombings and other attacks against the people of Israel."

Simple translation: Your our true and trusting friend Israel and we will always work together to insure your sovereignty for the betterment of both our nations.

Start at your state seat, let them do their work first.

Good luck.

I wonder if it's possible to have a thread about President Bush on Israel that doesn't include several posts about how most Jews will vote. How about wait and see?

Why? It's a perfectly logical point to discuss in a thread like this. As for "wait and see," that's silly if you're suggesting that Bush will actually do well with the Jewish vote, despite the fact that there's zero evidence for such an expectation. The polls may be skewed but they're certainly not skewed that much. The Jewish vote will go to Kerry in a landslide. It makes no sense, but there it is.

I think it's comparable to the phenomenon of so many older people who vote Democrat just because they were raised to believe Democrats are "for the working man" and Republicans are "for the rich." You could ask a lot of older people their positions on a dozen elements and they'd be staunchly conservative, yet they'll still tell you they're voting Democrat. Same thing here.

Maybe it'll change at some point.

In their zeal to to bemoan the Jewish vote,
they overlook the GOOD. POTUS's policy
toward Israel is real --- he cannot be accused
of pandering to one of his voting blocks.

"Start at your state seat, let them do their work first"

The federal government has to take a stand, by adopting a resolution for the platform of the ruling party to be against refugees who are being allowed to settle here. CA citizens already unanimously passed a state prop, 187, to stop funding socialist programs for foreign refugees, the Federal government struck it down and has mandated local taxpayers pay, therefore the first step has already been taken.

Iwish he would take the same stand wit illegal aliens in this country. We have a right not to be overtaken by people who are here for entitlements and welfare benefits at taxpayers expense.

We protect borders all over the planet with our military, but we cannot protect our own.

Perhaps emphasis should be placed upon the branch of federal government you are referring to.

THEN, vote wisely in November at a federal level as to who you feel will be best suited to appoint to THAT branch of government so your beloved state can take care of her issues without the restraint being imposed now, with a Senate willing to appoint!

George Bush is President of our country, and a fine foreign policy designer.

Look to the Senate and Congress (and choose wisely) to take care of domestic issues, not the President!

I doubt you'll see much change in the "Jewish vote"..
They are as diverse as any other segment of the population.

You have the smart Jews, the stupid Jews, the Marxist Jews, the Bush hating Jews, the Hollywood Jews, etc.....

Here in America, I fear we have more than our share of the Stupid, Marxist, Bush hating and Hollywood Jews...

My Jewish friends in the midwest are Bush supporters. I spoke to a business associate in Philly yesterday and he surprised me when he told me he was for Bush.

Well since you have presented anecdotal evidence I might as well add my 2¢ from so. CA.

This is hearsay, however, its from my mother so for me its good as first hand.

Two months ago, my mother went to the cemetery with a very dear and liberal friend that happens to be a Jew to visit her departed mother. My mother’s friend at the gravesite, prayed/asked her mother to make sure that GWB was elected for the sake of the USA and the world. My mother is still in shock since her friend is a long time dim and liberal.

One thing about polls (post #19) people tend to respond with traditional/stereotypical answers to strangers. Especially when they are of a identifiable group.

Question for anyone in the know. Do Jews worship their ancestors? Since I am of Japanese decent I though we (Orientals) were the only ones who worshiped their ancestors.

"Look to the Senate and Congress (and choose wisely) to take care of domestic issues, not the President!"

That would be great if only the president would abide and stay out of CA domestic issues, by not offering amnesty to domestic lawbreakers. Ironically he can takes a stand against Palestinian immigrating in Israel, a nation that he is not even an elected official at all? I am sorry , I don't get the logic here, the platform of the for the president of the United States can be concerned about refugees in Israel and not California?.

This will be the first republican platform to not adopt a resolution against illegal immigration, while actually offering amnesty, fine, if the president wants to pay for these things out of his budget, but its the local tax payer that will be left with the bills from his domestic amnesty plans!

by not offering amnesty to domestic lawbreakers.

BJ Clinton was the last POTUS to give amnesty to law breakers.

Are you a Kerry for President fan, or are you just outspoken to the negative through frustration?
