GOP Finds Duplicate Voting
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Possible Duplicate Registration and Voting, 1998 and General Elections
Overall Findings
An analysis of all or part of 11 states (AZ, CT, FL, MA, NC, NJ, NM, NY, PA, RI, SC) resulted in the following findings:
Based on 2000 records, in those states there are 140,109 people who are registered to vote in two locations (could be two states or two counties in the same state). This includes the NY Post study. Without the NY Post numbers, the total new double registrations found is 69,887.
Based on 1998 records, 219 people's voter registrations were voted twice (once each in different locations) in the 1998 election.
Based on 2000 records, 689 people's voter registrations were voted twice (once each in different locations) in the 2000 election.

for later
Every day for some time now I've prayed that vote fraud will not determine the outcome of one single election in America this autumn.
I urge others to pray against this insidious enemy of our republic.
Philly had a turnout of 900,000 for a pop of 1.3 mill?? I doubt if 900,000 could be of voting age. Thats very fishy!!!
The correct statement is that a high number of inner city (e.g., black) precincts nationwide had 100% turnout. These are precincts where the registration is virtually 100% Democratic and thus there is no balance in the staff running the polling stations. My guess is that the fraud was so rampant the poll workers weren't even trying to hide it. Even the most prosperous, God-fearing, responsible neighborhoods in America do not get above 90% turnout due to the fact that some people have busy lives.
"100% turnout" was not limited to precincts in Detroit and Philly. Miami, St Louis, Atlanta, all showed the same tendency.
What makes this all the more interesting is the situation in Florida, specifically Dade County (Miami). Remember the recounts? The Democrats wanted full recounts only in selected, heavily Democratic counties. Of all places, you would think that Dade would enthusiastically volunteer to be recounted. But they objected and petitioned the court that it was not possible. Why?
The reason is fraud. Imagine a bunch of yahoos merrily forging the signatures of those that didn't show up in the last few hours the polls are open. They are so brazen and giddy that they don't change the signature and even sign as "Santa Claus" or "George Bush." But the recount means that every ballot will be recounted and the signature books checked by outsiders. Now the precinct workers face jail, big time. So they decide that they would rather have Gore lose than enter the slammer. They refuse a recount that might "find" Gore more votes.
You are so right. I remember reports of 100% voter turnout in some Democrat Philadelphia precincts, students in Wisconsin voting numerous times for Gore (and laughing about it in front of a TV news camera), ballots being held up in Bernalillo County, New Mexico (until the Dems knew how many votes they needed to take the state), absentee ballots from Republican precincts being found in a dumpter in Miami, and on and on. And what is ever done about it? Did anything ever happen to those students who so gleefully and publicly yukked it up about their voter fraud? Do the Republicans have ANY plans to combat fraud in Democrat precincts this November?
Thanks for the "recounting." Does anyone know of any iniatives in any states, to eliminate voter fraud, this election?
Welcome aboard! Good post! BTTT!
Hate to say it, but the only way out is to require a national citizenship card to vote. It's either that, or lose the country.
The standard ploy is to have the big cities wait until the rest of the state's vote is in, see what is needed to win, and then manufacture the votes. Gore won Michigan by 200,000 votes out of 4 million. Gore won Wayne County (Detroit) by more than 300,000 votes. Gore won Pennsylvania by 200,000 votes out of 4.8 million votes. Gore won Philadelphia by almost 350,000 votes. The GOP would be well-served to place extra llawyers and monitors in those two cities to ensure that voting is as fair as possible.
In Missouri, the dimocRat party filed suit (in a dim judge's jurisdiction) to block certification of the primary election results AND THE JUDGE BLOCKED IT. This means the ballots cannot be printed in time for the veterans overseas to receive them and VOTE and return them to thelocal election boards. Our Secretary of State, Matt Blunt (also the GOP candidate for Governor) then worked out a system where the vets would vote via the internet (to a secure Dept of Defense site) if/when the ballots were approved BUT GUESS WHAT? The dims then filed suit to halt the veterans voting. Again, the dim judge agreed. What a state.
No. Not that I know of. It's a deadly non-focus.
That just amazes me. After terrorism, I don't think there's any greater threat to this country than vote fraud. If we lose the vote, we lose everything. And I don't think they'd have to go after fraud on a massive scale--just some select, well-publicized arrests (a sufficient number of them) could scare enough would-be vote thieves to do the job.
My point was that IF fraud is as rampant as is claimed, then a competent GOP leadership would have begun formulating a nationwide strategy to deal with it from the moment the recall nightmare ended in 2000. Then they would have begun to plan its implementation and work out the political ramifications. The reforms would be fundamental and sweeping, and they could even use the slogan "Count all the votes, and count them accurately!" or "One citizen, one vote!"
I am left with the unmistakable conclusion (especially combined with GWB's indefensibly liberal immigration policies) that either the fraud is on a much smaller scale than claimed and furthermore that the GOP leadership believes the 2000 eletion results were a fluke, or that the GOP leadership has decided to throw in the long-term towel -- at least as far as being a nominally conservative party goes.
Thanks for the thoughtful response.
gotta see this!
"...we conservatives look for--and sometimes struggle toward--doing the right thing. Even if it means our enemies winning a round..."
Furthermore, I agree with this point 100%
Nope; to me, it's the same as stealing money from petty cash. Just because you can doesn't give you the right to do so. There are objective principles and standards by which to strive to live. Subjectiveness cannot be a part of the "thou shalt nots."
