Bravo, Jeff.

My son, when he was a little younger, was lamenting the fact that he didn't have a girlfriend, and I told him there was someone for him. He was a little too concerned about appearance at the time, so I told him that when he gets to be 80, he won't care so much if his wife was drop dead gorgeous, he was going to care whether or not she had been good and kind and responsible, and a good mother to his children. He has that kind of wife now, and in addition, she is pretty.

Calm down. You don't want to end up acting like a liberal.

I have been told I will blow a blood vessel but this is scary. ;-) I like the tactic you use. Time to think it through.

Yeah, I know the feeling. But, my faith helps me. I sometimes just have to step back, take a deep breath, and remember that God has a plan and he's the one really in charge. My job is to do what he wants me to, and to do that I have to quiet myself and listen. And I have to remind myself that my hate and anger is a sin.

Anyway, He helps me. If you are not a person of faith, you might try thinking about your blood pressure when you find yourself hating. ;)

I think it is worth the risk. Far more is given by others then what I have to lose. Kerry needs to be stopped. And thank God for FR.

You're not alone, My wife tells me all the time that I'm way too involved in politics and that I should not let my main focus be politics. I've explained to her that I can't help myself, every time I hear a leftist speaking on the nightly NEWS about how it is very important that grade school children need to be taught to be tolerant of the worst personal behavior our society has to offer, but at the same time, If the name of God is invoked in the Class Room, that Teacher is chased out of town at the end of a pitchfork.

There is something very wrong about where the leftist have taken this country. 45 years ago the liberals came to power on the promise of social reform. Since then we have seen the principles this country was founded on, come under attack.

No longer is personal responsibility the focus of education, today our children are taught that bad behavior can be explained away or treated with drugs. The Pledge of Allegiance is treated like it's brainwashing, Prayer has long been rejected from our schools, and anti Americanism is considered bravery by the leftist who have taken over our education system.

We have to take this country back from these people and the last four years of personal responsibility being injected into most if not all of George W. Bush's policies has these leftist stirred up like I have never seen before. They're out of power and the desperation is showing

Clinton - a product of the 60'/70's. 1993 and 2001 a product of Clinton. Glad to hear you made it through.

Because so many people hate Kerry these days, I'm sure you'll be ecstatic in the end.
Kerry wasn't likable in the beginning, but now people are actually getting to know him, and they hate him more.

Trust me. The country is on your side. Political experts are watching this race way from the TV , and it's almost up to a Bush landslide. Underneath it all, Bush is up about 20 points. It would take a major disaster to beat him now.
Add the commie pinko fagots having a temper tantrum in NYC, and it's a slam dunk.

Bless your heart, UpinArms. Unfortunately, I do know how you feel, but you should really take FairOpinion's advice to heart. If you rant or get out of control too often, it can actually have an opposite effect from what you intend. People will be turned off and see you as a loud-mouth jerk or a conservative michael moore type, which I'm sure you are NOT.... You just take what's going on very seriously, like the rest of us freepers.

You have to make a decision: When you're in a social gathering, do you want to be RIGHT? or do you want to be HAPPY?

I'll see if I can find the anger-management website I was looking at several weeks ago; it had some helpful things to say.

Im 19 years old, and all I talk about about is mainly politics. It has consumed my life, but I think for the good. It keeps me out of trouble, and all my friends have there heads on staright because there conservative. My mom does get annoyed by it, but she has become more aware of what the left is trying to do, and she has converted some of her friends... becuase of me.

Politics are the things people should be the most informed about, it can affect your life with one election

I've been there before. Here's the cure for your distress.

(1) Do some campaign election work for Bush, the local GOP HQ's, or a good candidate on the ballot in your area. That will help get it out of your system.

(2) Get a set of acquaintances and friends who share your views and enthusiasm. Step (1) will bring you into contact with them.

(3) Realize that this election has stirred not just you, but also the public to an unusual degree, but it will mostly pass after the election.

I don't attack others. I just strongly state my opinions. In doing so their beliefs are attacked. That is when it becomes uncomfortable for them. Knowing Kerry will get us killed, I'll risk their feelings while ruining my disposition. I really am a kind and very helpful person in many ways. "Others, yes others, let this my motto be." Perhaps they are surprised by my passion. It is time to make sure that others understand the circumstances of blindly accepting Kerry as a viable leader.

I hope you are right. I have not heard anyone voice a strong opinion in favor of Kerry, but then again I probably don't give them a chance.

Thanks for the advise. Circumstances will keep me at the terminal so I can't turn FR off. Can I?

It does help to know I am not the only one that gets frustrated over the constant drone of the left.

LOL!

my friends learned long ago to avoid discussing politics in the same room with me during an election year, and if it does come up (an accident, a stranger that doesn't know any better, or I bring it up myself), they just nod approvingly at everything I say and pray that the subject passes quickly.
