My question is this, what would happen if you forged a government document?
Twenty years in federal prison!!!

He either did or he didn'tUhhh, it is not quite that simple. He was head of a very large bureaucracy and does almost nothing himself.

If Lehman's name is getting splattered, could he request release of the records behind the issuance of those citations with his signature on them?Nope- that is how the pentagon got sued, successfully, by Linda Trip. Personal records are personal records.

Sen.Kerry: PLEASE SIGN STANDARD FORM 180 !!!
I think the MSM is going to drop this whole thing very soon. Hopefully Fox and the Internet can keep these questions alive.

There are quite a few examples ... I just grabbed those at random. They seem a little elaborated , don't they? Who has time to write all that stuff up? Senators?

That "vice chairman" of intel committee was not simple sloppiness. The sKerry campaign had used it with the media to prop up sKerry's intel credentials six months before, and no one, not even the excellent researchers here on FR, caught the error then.
They thought they could use it to good effect again, but this time they got caught, and even initially attempted to deny they were in error.

Is there any kind of ping list on the subject of Kerry's military records/Swift vets/war stories? If so, I'd like to get on it.

You quote from www.captainsquartersblog.com:
Kerry "led a landing party ashore in pursuit of the enemy. Upon sweeping the area, an immediate search uncovered an enemy rest and supply area which was destroyed."
Is this village Kerry supposedly burned down (rumor is that Hannity has film)?

My comment was meant to make fun of the notion that [according to Kerry] his 4 months on the swift boats is all that mattered.<<<< Who said he spent 4 months on swift boats?????????.....Something Ive always wondered about...Between in-country processing (sometimes it took a week or more)...Training (many days if not weeks>> I saw somewhere in his record it was a month in the safety of Camh Rahn Bay)... Out processing (many days if not weeks)..This piker probably didnt spent but 40-50 days ( with fewer missions!)in actual combat situations/exposure!!!...and I wouldnt doubt that this SOB got an R and R thrown in there somewhere too!!!!...Something for somebody smarter then me to check out those facts though!

Darn. But, wait a minute. Lehman wouldn't have to release them.
All he needs to do is start a heavy PR campaign saying he's getting smeared by this stuff and demand that KERRY authorize the release of all records related to why those citations were issued during Lehman's tenure. Lehman's role on the 9/11 commission just may have given him better media access than Kerry himself! If he starts hitting Kerry, the MSM will listen.
I love this story!

This just kicked up the temp in the pressure cooker that Kerry has put himself into.
It will be interesting to see if the MSM spikes this story or attacks John Lehman.

They seem a little elaborated , don't they? Who has time to write all that stuff up? Senators? Do take a moment to visit that website, and read what the Silver Star recipients did to earn their awards. I do not think the language is elaboarated, no, I don't.
The language is written by Officers in the US Military.

This rewritten citation is completely out of the norm, yet you want to see it as a simple administrative "sanfu". . Since you are personally experienced in the issuing of citations, can you tell me something? Is there any legitimate reason of which you're aware that a request to re-issue a citation would result in something other than a copy of the original citation?
Thank you for your service.

I am protecting my own credibility by not jumping to conclusions.Actually, you jumped to the conclusion that this was routine and the language "boiler plate".
