Is this true? (Kerry's discharge)

Posted on 09/09/2004 3:45:12 AM PDT by NImerc

I am listening to a local guy here in Pittsburgh and he just stated that Kerry's Honorable Discharge is dated March 12, 2001. Being a vet myself I know that if one gets an "other than honorable" discharge he can, after "X" number of years apply for an Honorable depending of course on the circumstances of his initial discharge. After so many years however is it likely that Kerry had his record "fixed" with an Honorable? If it was fixed why would they still date it 2001? Can anyone verify that his discharge is dated 2001 and if it is why the heck haven't I heard this anywhere national!?

Yep, that is at least one reason being given on why Kerry will not release his military records.

Well, Kerry probably used his influence as a distinguished member of Congress to keep his paychecks coming until 2001. He is, after all, a man of the people, and he desperately needs the income. That's just what a normal working family would do.

"WHAT IS KERRY HIDING?"

THAT is the question we should be asking CONSTANTLY until he gets his ENTIRE service record made public. If he's so proud of his service, let him 'come clean,' like W has ALREADY! Never mind if he conned a new discharge -- what ELSE is in the file???

Howie Carr had something on yesterday about a $300.00 check. I tried to figure out what it was about but I could?

Does anybody know?

At the bottom of all this is the clear fact that the bureacracy in the military is clearly SNAFU......same as all the rest of the departments of government.

That's a good question. For a while I had been of the opinion that we would be dissappointed with what his records would show. Probably a few dings but nothing major.
But now I'm starting to wonder if he just blew off his reserve obligations (which would be a killer compared to questions about W's ANG service) or he did in fact get a not so honorable discharge.
I still doubt the latter, but charges of being AWOL for his reserve obligation would be really big.
There has to be something very deadly in his records that he has not been able to "Bergerize".

There's a rumor going around that he got a bad conduct discharge and opening his files would be political suicide. OSign the SF 180 you miserable scum!

Quinn is okay with me. I just keep in mind that he never met a conspiracy he didn't like.

Wait a second, officers are not discharged.
They are separated or released from duty.

At least thats the Army way.
Is the Navy different, or this is another example of Kerry manipulating the system but getting it wrong?

I don't know how long you have listened to him but when he first strated he was all conspiracy / NWO and took a radical change of direction once he became rated. Every once in awhile a few of his long time "fans" will call in and accuse him of selling out and flip-flopping on almost all of his views. Case in point is when Bush and McCain were running in the primaries he told everyone to vote for McCain because Bush was NWO / Skull and Bones and no better than Clinton. Now he will not mention NWO or Skull and Bones without chuckling and this has really P'd off alot of the fanbase that built him up.

Don't worry about it - the AP will sue for those records any day now.

The "Reserve Obligation" business is a hollow charge. Hundreds of thousands of Viet Nam Era and Viet Nam War veterans ended up not having to attend a single reserve drill.

The reason was that all reserve billets in their area were filled at the time they were released from active duty.

How come no one has responded to the link to the 1978 discharge memo? What is it that happened in 2001 that everyone is talking about? I actually heard the same story on the ride into work this morning. Even if he was discharged in 1978, I have to wonder why it took so long. I sure wish the media would do some investigative reporting. Instead, they're too busy digging up old news about the President.
