After watching that I started thinking does he really deserve us? Honestly. I was out there all last weekend, as were thousands of others across the country. We are doing our part, he didn't do his.

I wish I could photoshop this and put you FR whiners in the spot where 'Democratic Party' goes.....

You don't have a CLUE, Hildy.

Do you KNOW what kind of a day President Bush had Saturday??? He appeared THREE places in Ohio and in between appearances he met with and wept with the parents of a family here in Mansfield who lost a son in Iraq.

To say that HE'S not working and YOU are is both asinine and childish.

Deb, I'm with you. The whining and griping about the President's letting these babies down because of one stinking debate that he actually WON, is making me absolutely SICK.

I'm in Florida and Bush has been getting great coverage for his genuine concern for what so many have gone through. You cannot fake that kind of compassion and the local media are doing for him what the national media will not - show the real Bush. This will reflect big in the polls later this week and I believe Fl. will be bright red Nov. 2.

It's very clear that Kerry wants to be president to fulfill some narcissistic dream and that Bush wants to be president because he cares and want to guide us through these difficult times. Character will win. It has to.

After all that the President has to put up with-nasty Dem politicians, the media, running the country and now "supporters" like you try and brow beat him.BTW, I think he was great in that first debate.I don't know which one you were looking at. People such as Laura Ingraham, and few other conservative media types really get under my skin because they criticize President Bush at the drop of a hat! Like they know everything and what they say is gospel! I'm if I ranted but I'm truly sick and tired of people so quick to criticize the President. It's really down right sickening!imho.

Read some of OhGeorgia's posts and you'll understand!

What exactly is "hysterical" about them?

Maybe Kerry doesn't like orange juice (but we do know now that he ALWAYS eats broccoli and Brussel Sprouts)...

Kerry has the "green vegetable demographic" locked up now...

That's a ridiculous post. I expected Bush to be rested and ready for this debate. Does that mean I don't deserve him?

Thank you! I know many Republicans who have been solid supporters of Bush (myself included) who were really disappointed by his performance in the debate.

Unfortunately the Kool-Aid drinkers can't tolerate the smallest criticisms of Bush, even when they are overwhelmingly shown to be deserved.

Show us.
Because the WHOLE WORLD KNOWS what kind of night he had at the debate.

OhGeorgia's posts wouldn't be a bit different if he were a RAT troll...........which he may well be. The truth is, there have been MANY trolls hanging around here lately whose only goal is to defeat George W. Bush and discourage his supporters..... in case you haven't noticed.

There is a BIG difference between saying the President wasn't on top of his game in the debate, and in crying hysterically that it's the end of the world, and he let us GOOD people down with his bad performance.

The people who said the former are not included in the barrage of "the President is a loser" posts in the last three days.

There's also a big difference between being a 'kool-aid drinker' and seeing the debate as one event in a series of events which the President is very MUCH on top of, and not being emotionally over the top with the whole thing.

. . . didn't like my girly man comment?!

[Hmmmmmmmmmm, Do you perceive a difference between CONSTRUCTIVE feedback and DESTRUCTIVE (ad hominem) attacks -- oops, I mean criticism?! Just wondering!]

Right. And THE WHOLE WORLD didn't change their opinion of George W. Bush OR John Kerry after the debate, either.

As to 'showing us'.....the President is doing just that every single day......a fact that you'd know if you were paying attention.

And, since when did good conservatives CARE what "the whole world" thought, anyway? It's Americans who count, and they're still behind the President, in spite of his failure to please YOU with his 'performance.'

Bush was visiting the people who have suffered the loss of their orange crops. Kerry was out getting an orange tan. You want substance...Vote for Bush.

I don't know about that. I read one fo OhGeorgia's posts and it reflected my views exactly.

And not only am I not a troll, I have been a relentless defender or George Bush both here and in the real world for the past 4 years.

Oh and I saw the numerous responses to that post by OhGeorgia shrieking names like "troll" at him/her. No attempts to refute the post. Just name calling.

That's not right.

What "girlie man comment"?

And can't you come up with something original?

Such as an actual attempt to address what a person says in their post, instead of name-calling?

Well, for the record I didn't 'shriek' or respond to OhGeorgia at all........just observed a deep negativism which reflected, IMO, a desire to discourage and defeat.

Perhaps you didn't see the same posts I did.

At any rate, the bottom line is that the debate, no matter what you think of how he did, isn't that important in the scheme of things, and doesn't change the fact that the President is fighting hard to win in November......and WILL.

I know that because I heard him at one of the three events on Saturday, and he was inspiring, strong, funny, positive, and overall just plain magnificent, and like he's doing everywhere he goes, is impressing the socks off of his audiences.

Here's a transcript of the event I attended. He won over the hearts and minds of many voters in this battleground state Saturday because they saw him as he really is and not through the negative media filter, just like he did in Florida the day before the debate when he was helping the people there who have suffered so much, and it is an error on your part not to see the significance of that.

You don't get it. It makes no difference. The polls don't award candidates extra credit for the debates just because they did some good deed on the same day.

Let's stop with the lame excuses already.Ok?

And, since when did good conservatives CARE what "the whole world" thought, anyway?

I don't know, but I thought "good conservatives" wanted Bush to win this election. I could be wrong.

It's Americans who count, and they're still behind the President, in spite of his failure to please YOU with his 'performance.'

Please ME? Are you serious?

Bush loses the debate by almost 3 to 1 margin in every poll since Thursday and you think this is about pleasing ME personally?

Does anyone actually believe that any person who had decided to vote for President Bush changed their mind because of one debate? He was ahead before the debate and I doubt anyone changed their mind, therefore he is still ahead.

Lame excuse?? LOL!

Do you not understand the significance of the personal compassion the President shows everywhere he goes?

A.J. Vandayburg is a hero around here. We all felt the grief of his loss deeply because of his heroism.

People are being worn down by the media and the left in their attempts to turn us against the war.

Then the President comes to town. He meets with this dear family, and on the front page of the paper, this entire region sees who he really is, probably for the first time.

The young man's father talks about how genuine and loving he is, and tells him to finish the fight.

And you think this means nothing??

NO one cares that he stumbled over a few words in the debate when things like this happen everywhere he goes.

Except possibly unforgiving people like you...........
