Of course my hatred of polls led me to give some crazy answers.
Who did you vote for in 2000? Gore How likely are you to vote this year? Extremely Who will you vote for? Bush How do you feel about Bush? Very Positive Kerry? Someone negative General Direction of the Nation? Great Overall performance of Bush? Extremely bad (she says and you're voting for him?) Absolutely
Are you Republican, Dem, non-affiliated? Independent Income? $50K (NOTE: I'm trying to get into the class of voter Kerry is targeting) Any union workes in your home? Yes Religion? Catholic Married? Yes Race? Hispanic Live in City of >100,000? Less than 100,000? Rural or subs? City less than 100,000.
BTW: at least 1/2 of these answers are complete lies. So I'm now one of their Independent voters that they want to follow up with in future surveys ;-) I wish everyone lied to the polsters so then politician would have to tell what they really think and not what the polls say.

I really wanted to say I'd vote for Kerry just to skew the poll even more, but I just couldn't get myself to do it.

Figure that a good percentage of the respondents in every poll feel similarly, and you can well judge the reliablilty of polls!

Zogby messes with his questions..have been taking them online for years, took a Zogby poll last night and he seems to lean more left on every election.

Bravo.
Lying to pollsters is in my opinion a sign of patriotism. Polls are the worst thing to ever happen to the political process in this country and none should ever tell the truth to someone conducting a poll.
When political operatives are proved to be unable to predict voting patterns then we might finally get politicians who actually vote their conscience. That would be something to behold. A politician with a conscience.
