I had a 2003 edicion limitada Monetcristo recently that was great, but no better thana Padron, and truthfully not quite as good. The only truly great Cuban I've had was a Trinidad, and I her that it's still hit and miss with those, depending on the year.
Because I think the embargo is silly and fruitless, that's how. If we're to be consistent we'd have to embargo every nation with hostile intentions, communism, and slave labor.
We're not going to do that though because Walmart needs cheap shirts from Bangladesh and Radio Shack needs cheap electronics from China.
When we get consistent about this embargo business, then you can get sanctimonious about it with me.

it would be impossible to move the culture of entitlement into a capitalistic society in less than a generation. then you have to obtain oodles of cash for construction because what was opulent inthe 50's is now -er- "quaint".
Then you have to upgrade things like the islands electrical capacity, streets, water/sewerage facilities, telecommunications, etc. infrastructure. that kinda money just isn't available for speculation.
and once you're done, you're gonna have to convince people to abandon micky mouse and/or reno/vegas, etc. to spend more $$$ to come down there. I just don't see it happenning in any realistic sense. people don't do things like they did in the 50's anymore.
I agree about the crftsmanship. Ofte piss poor, and the burns suffer for it.

OK. It's clear to me now. You obey laws with which you agree, and disobey the rest. I get it. Well, good luck to you, and I hope you continue to avoid a felony conviction. Remember, with that, you'd lose your right to vote and your right to own firearms.

I just had an X3 Belicoso that was probably the best Opus I've ever had-- if not the best cigar. It's funny you mention the double corona. I have 5 of em in my humidor and will keep em for a while as the first one I smoked was a dog rocket, and was probably too moist to smoke in the first place.
I think we need to get a Freeper cigar passs going.

I'm glad you brought that up. When I used to think of felons, I'd think of dangerous criminals: murderers, rapists, bank robbers, arsonists, etc...
What kind of country lumps in folks who smoke the wrong cigars in with that lot? And exactly what does that say about the character and judgement of the people making its laws?
Not to mention, exactly what business does the government have telling you where you can go? Is this East Germany? Are we little kids? Are we farm animals?
When you fire up a 20+ dollar cigar and it won't draw or burns like a poorly rolled joint, it is frustrating to say the least.
Anyone who believes China is communist hasn't been paying attention. They abandoned that a couple of decades ago in favor of capitalism. Fascist capitalism, to be sure, but certainly Commie In Name Only.
