I have mixed feelings about this. I don't want the same thing being done with Moore's flick, so why should it be done with this one? I support why it is being done, just don't know if it is such a good idea or not.

The difference is: THIS IS THE TRUTH.

Moore's film consists of nothing but LIES.

I don't like it either. Unless the time was purchased and Sinclair is (unlike others) requiring that it be broadcast.

The left is already doing it's worse.
In Boston, when I check out the PBS stations, I see that a documentary about RFK seems to be running 3 or 4 times a day. I can almost guarantee that that before election day they will show the watergate specials they have, and the suck up pieces on JFK.

Politics is what it is. Last time they sprung a DUI on us. The LA Times attempted to derail Arnold in the same manner the last weekend.

In a fair and even world would I approve this? Perhaps not. Though they are well within their rights to do whatever they like with their stations.

Since Moore is in talks to make F/9-11 available on election eve, since the MSM is in the tank for Kerry, I'm not interested in staying 'above the fray'.

This is a political 'war' for the heart and soul AND safety of our country. The documentary is true, something Moore cannot claim. It isn't a question of if the tables were reversed, would we like this. The fact is the table stands to have F/9-11 air the night before the election with the MSM having free reign to control what is aired that night in news and entertainment. It IS being done to us. We fight back or we let them dictate the discussion.

Well done to Sinclair, I only wish he had more stations.

I say show them both. These are REAL heroes, with the truth and a 30 year old story that needs to be told. Michael Moore is a money grubbing, big mac eating, liberal slime ball. The American people are capable of making up their own mind. I think the contrast between the two would be huge for our side.

In ordinary times I'd agree with you. Today, there is way too much bias in the mainstream media to even make a pretence of objectivity. When we have CBS collaborating with the Kerry campaign and ABC making a policy decision to cover Bush's inconsistencies but not Kerry's, then in effect we have Moore's bias whether or not his movie is on tv.

I haven't got time to read this whole thread, but Moore has already planned and set up screenings of his Fairyetc911 propaganda piece for the evening of Nov 1 across the country.

"I don't want the same thing being done with Moore's flick, so why should it be done with this one?"

I've seen Stonle Honor. It is primarily ex-POW's and their wives sharing their hearts about the devastation John Kerry has caused in their lives and what a personal affront it would be to them for him to ever be Commander In Chief. It is not comparable in any way to Michael Moore's deliberate distortions and lies, and anyone who thinks showing Stolen Honor could somehow be balanced by showing Farenheit 911 does not really care about "balance".

Because Moore's is outrageous lies and distortion and this is the truth, that's why.

I can't believe there are freepers here that do not recognize the difference.

Moore is more than welcome to put his movie on primetime TV and he has said that he would like to see it happen before the election. The only thing stopping him is that he would like to capture more ("greedy capitalist profits" - lol from the release on DVD before he show it on TV) Even Moore should have that right if some station wants to air it. Even though it contains lies and distortions. It is good to finally have an oposing view make it on primetime. Please protect free speech. Opponents to this cry over the Reagan film and ask why that was shut down from being on primetime. It is thanks to the free speech of all those who wrote in to tell the broadcasters that we won't support it. It is ok for them to make a film about Ronald Reagan, but we won't support them rewriting who Reagan was to those who never knew him. Notice how no conservatives petitioned the FCC over this. We directed the focus where it rightfully should be, to the broadcasting company in charge and told them how we felt. It is only the liberals of today's world who would infringe on free speech by trying to use the FCC and FEC to shut down a film or a book with opinions and facts that they don't find convenient to their cause. Please, keep America's speech free. Even if it means the Mr. Moore will someday show his crockumentary on primetime (which will happen anyway).
