Sinclair to air anti-Kerry special (Stolen Honor)
Washington Times ^ | Oct. 9, 2004 | UPI

New York, NY, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- A conservative U.S. broadcaster whose outlets reach one-quarter of the nation's TV viewers is airing a film that attacks John Kerry just before the election.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has ordered its 62 stations to preempt regular programming during primetime to air "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

The film, funded by Pennsylvania veterans and produced by a veteran and former Washington Times reporter, features former POWs accusing Kerry -- a decorated U.S. Navy veteran who later protested the war -- of worsening their ordeal by prolonging the conflict.

The one-hour special, which will be aired between Oct. 21 and Oct. 24 depending on the city, will be followed by a panel discussion to which Kerry will be invited, potentially satisfying fairness regulations, the Times reported.

I agree, this is just too important. Besides, what's wrong with telling the truth, who will be hurt by the truth but the spinner of the lie.

I understand Michael Moore is planning to show his "documentary" the night before the election. You know he will find many stations because they refer to it as a documentary, with out sarcasm.

"Unfortunately, the documentary is 100% true and because of the way Sinclair is broadcasting it, it will be viewed as a political trick, compared to Moore's documentary and dismissed out of hand."

And how do you "tell the future" so well?

What stocks should I buy?

Who is going to the Supoer Bowl?

Yes! I am aware of this. It is exactly why I think it is a bad idea to do the same. I 100% do not approve of Moore doing this and is why I do not feel we should be doing it also. Having plans to show a pro-Bush documentary gets rid of any leverage there might be to prevent an anti-Bush documentary from being shown.

Michael "Fat Man" Moore's flick is now being shown on college campuses, they are pandering to get democRATic votes that way. We got to fight fire with fire. I have no problem with telling the world what I believe about Hanoi John. I'm a veteran against John F*ckin Kerry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say show them both. These are REAL heroes, with the truth and a 30 year old story that needs to be told. Michael Moore is a money grubbing, big mac eating, liberal slime ball. The American people are capable of making up their own mind. I think the contrast between the two would be huge for our side.

===

Michael Moore will give them underwear, just for that purpose. (really!)

Can You Buy Votes With Underwear?

Michigan Republicans want local prosecutors to throw the book at Michael Moore, after the Fahrenheit 9/11 director doled out ramen and underwear to college students. The gifts were given in exchange for the students' promises to vote—not necessarily for John Kerry—in November. Is it illegal to bribe someone to vote, even if the person doing the bribing doesn't tell the bribee which candidate to choose?

Regardless of the briber's intentions, paying for turnout is illegal in federal elections.
