233 members of Congress have visited the troops in Iraq so far.

One hundred ninety-one were House members:
121 Republicans, and 70 Democrats.
Forty-two were senators: 24 Republicans and 18 Dems.
Eight senators have made two trips, and one has made three.

Neither Kerry nor Edwards has taken time away from manicures, hairstyling appointments, and campaign stops
to talk to the men and women who are putting their lives on the line in Iraq
and to see the facts on the ground.

That's leadership for you.

Speaking of calling Allawi a liar. Did anyone wonder why George didn't pounce on Kerry about the allies business? Bush could have asked Kerry how he expected to get support from France, Russia and China when they were in Saddam's hip pocket. But he didn't.
I think I figured out why. Bush realizes that he still has to work with these countries to get some things done. He had the statesmanship by not to alienating them further. Kerry, it seems, has no such statesmanship. I found that very telling.

I knew I read that Kerry said he went to Iraq.

I guess what it was, that he claimed he was there in 1991 at the signing of the cease fire.

This is so sickening, Tonk, but why am I surprised? How half of the country could be seriously even thinking of voting for these two creatures is beyond me! :(

Well, you've got me there! Getting the hang of replying to the 'hot topic' and the right people is the toughest part, I think. I'll get used to it. Right now it's "so many threads, so little time". Great place, though.

I think it was stated that no one remembers Kerry at the cease-fire signing. He was back in Kuwait at the hotel.

Flipper says he knows how to bring our allies to the table, yet he has a funny way of showing how he would do it.

Kerry has described the coalition of 30+ Nations who are contributing in operations on the ground in Iraq as "Window Dressing" and a Coalition of the "Coerced and Bribed". I'm sure his rhetoric is not well receives in Great Britain, Poland, Italy and Australia, who have all had soldiers killed in Iraq.

John Kerry has had a long history of sucking up to the enemies of freedom and denouncing our efforts to spread liberty. If you don't believe me... just ask Daniel Ortega. or visit the war museum in Vietnam where Kerry is honored for his efforts to demoralize our troops and undermine public support here in the good old USA.

John Kerry is an opportunist scumbag whose only concern is his own desires and could care less about this country or the soldiers who defend it.

Kerry thinks that by denegrating America, allies, and countless others he can make inroads with the terrorists.

The old saying, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Only Kerry is characterizing America as the enemy, and frankly the terrorists aren't impressed. Terrorists just prefer a lot less impact on their spread of hate and any alternative to Bush.

The signing was March 3rd, Kerry didn't get there until the 17th.

NO, Kerry was not in Iraq or Kuwait on the day of the cease fire in 1991. He arrived 14 days later in Saffron, Iraq as part of a congressional delegation that was briefed by the commanders in the field.

KERRY LIED AGAIN

Oddly enough, all Kerry had to say in the beginning was "We have 30+ nations in this coalition and that is a good beginning. But we should have tried to get more nations involved before we moved. That's the rash mistake that the president made."

That statement would have gotten him out of alot of hot water.

Same thing with the Vietnam vets. "When I was younger, I made some foolish decisions. I have since realized that they were wrong and I apologize to those with whom I served and all those who honorably served this great country in a very trying time."

Would these things have been too hard to say? Guess I'm just an idiot in pajamas or something.
