One more reason to be scared to death if Kerry gets elected ..... some might say this is a stretch but I don't think so. It's my belief that if Kerry/Democrats get in power we are going to see even more of this. Possibly to the point of having a cop in every church Sunday morning making sure no preacher says anything that could be construed as hate crimes

From the article ....

"Not long after the group began their activity, members of the Pink Angels, which the statement describes as "a militant mob of homosexuals," confronted the protesters and attempted to drown out their message with whistles, while hiding the signs with large sheets of pink Styrofoam."

I love how THEY can shut down our free speech within hours(and I don't mean just Christians-I mean anything conservative) and yet we can see election fraud and outright brutalization of Republican offices happening months before the election and NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO STOP IT.

"pink angels" ... "a militant mob of homosexuals"

For some reason I have a vision of Ronald Regan's son running around in a pink tutu!

Truly frightening but there will be a lot more of this in the coming days. Christian persecution in America is coming a lot faster than we know it. I think there is only a small window of opportunity to openly share the Gospel in this country.

Shows the double standards. Had a pro-homosexual group interrupted a Christian event, they would be allowed to continue. Hate against Christians is OK, but not against perverts. America, is so close to falling into a socialist or fascist state. All that it takes for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing.

11 Christians arrested at homosexual event
Demonstrators spend 21 hours in jail, charged with felonies

October 15, 2004

Eleven Christians who were demonstrating at a public homosexual-rights event in Philadelphia have been arrested and charged – they say unjustly.

According to a statement from Life and Liberty Ministries, on Sunday the Christian protesters were "preaching God's Word" to the crowd of people attending the outdoor Philadelphia OutFest event and displaying banners with biblical messages.

Not long after the group began their activity, members of the Pink Angels, which the statement describes as "a militant mob of homosexuals," confronted the protesters and attempted to drown out their message with whistles, while hiding the signs with large sheets of pink Styrofoam.

"Even though the Christians obeyed all laws, city ordinances and lawful requests by the Philadelphia police officers on hand," said Life and Liberty Ministries, "they were promptly and without warning arrested and hauled off to jail, where they spent 21 hours before being released on Monday morning."

Eight charges were filed against the protesters, including three felonies and five misdemeanors. The charges were: criminal conspiracy, possession of instruments of crime, reckless endangerment of another person, ethnic intimidation, riot, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct, and obstructing highways.

The “ethnic intimidation” charge, explains Robert Knight, writing for Concerned Women for America's Culture and Family Institute, was made possible by Pennsylvania’s Ethnic Intimidation and Institutional Vandalism Act – that state's “hate crimes" law – to which the newest "victim" category of "sexual orientation" was recently added.

Although some of the charges reportedly have been dropped since the 11 defendants were released, the Culture and Family Institute report quotes Philadelphia Police spokeswoman Officer Maria Ibrahim as saying the remaining charges are "criminal conspiracy," "failure to disperse," "disorderly conduct" and "obstructing a highway."

Responding to the riot charge, the group's statement said: "Despite the fact that our behavior was above reproach and we were attacked by a mob of whistle-blowing, obscenity-screaming God haters, the Christians, and only the Christians, were charged."

Said Dennis Green, director of Life and Liberty Ministries: "The Scriptures are filled with accounts of faithful followers of the Messiah who proclaimed the Gospel despite severe persecution. We are called upon and commanded to do no less. To shrink back would not be biblical Christianity."

The organization Repent America sponsored the protest.

"This is one of the most remarkable and unlawful actions by police that I have ever witnessed," said Michael Marcavage, director of Repent America. "Their blatant disregard of the law by allowing hecklers to impede our way, block our message and then arrest us, is inexcusable, especially by police officers who are specially trained to protect civil rights.

"Christians are now being labeled as 'haters' and any speech that homosexuals perceive to be intimidating, such as our Christian witness at OutFest, makes them a prime target for 'hate crimes legislation.'"

Continued Marcavage: "We are clearly 'not guilty' of these crimes, and with the help of our video footage, we shall be vindicated of these trumped-up charges."

The CFI account quotes Brian Fahling of the American Family Association's Center for Law and Policy, a public interest law firm which is representing the Christian defendants.

"We’re going to do whatever it takes to ensure that the Philadelphia Police Department and the city are held accountable for this," Fahling told CFI. "As far as we can tell, this was utterly uncalled for and has no legal justification."

The group is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 18 at the Philadelphia Criminal Justice Center.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.

More Nazi-esque tactics from militant homosexuals (remind me again how most homosexuals are normal, quiet, monogamous, buttoned-down, family types who don't agree with the "gay" agenda...) and their minions.

This is very serious business. Remember the pro-marriage rally in Seattle a few months ago that was invaded by homo-protestors with bullhorns, drums, and so on? And not a damn thing happened to them.

This is hatespeech law in action, even before the laws are passed. Anyone who thinks it won't get any worse is duct taping their eyes shut.

Let me and Scripter know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

The six men and five women representing Repent America approached the event and were immediately confronted with unlawful opposition by a group of homosexuals. This group, the “Pink Angels”, was formed by homosexual attorney Chuck Volz, a senior adviser to Philly Pride Presents, organizers of the annual OutFest event which receives $22,500 yearly from the City of Philadelphia. The “Pink Angels” blocked access to Repent America by forming a human chain, refusing to allow the Christians to walk down the public sidewalk. Police intervened shortly thereafter, escorting Repent America through the human blockade.

I must respond to this.

"criminal conspiracy, possession of instruments of crime, reckless endangerment of another person, ethnic intimidation, riot, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct, and obstructing highways."

The Christian group was charged with more offenses than the Teamsters who assaulted Don Adams in October 1998. Absolutely outrageous.

Possession of instruments of crime?

Did they have a video camera?

They would be wise to get that video to as many news sources as possible, and to make it available on the internet.

St. Matthew 5:10 Jesus... “Blessed [are] the ones having been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, because theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.

5:11 “Blessed are you* whenever they insult you* and persecute [you*] and by lying say every evil word against you* because of Me.

5:12 “Be rejoicing and be continually glad, because your* reward [is] great in the heavens, for in this manner they persecuted the prophets, the [ones] before you*.

Good to know they had video.

They should sue for false arrest and charges.

It's also worthy to note that this is the same city (Philly) that had a recent "gay day" at a baseball stadium. When a Christian group arrived to protest, the homosexuals incited a riot, and the CHRISTIANS were the ones arrested, not the rioters.

Isaiah 5:20 -
"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

This is making my hair stand on end, literally.

If people think this won't touch their lives, they are exactly like Germans who thought Hitler, his Nazis, and his Reich wouldn't affect them.

I have read some comments now and then opining that we should just "ignore" homosexuals and it will all go away. I can only assume such people are either (a) impossibly ignorant (and the cure is easy - read FR) or (b) homo-promoters, telling us to back to sleep.

The only reason evil has gained such ascendency is because we were all asleep far too long.

I think LOTR is an excellent and timely allegory for our times. No matter how small, insignificant or helpless we may individually consider ourselves, each right minded person needs to fight the good fight, however we can.

If we want to fight on God's side, He will show us from within and through opportunities what needs to be done, and give us strength. Whether we then succeed or fail is up to Him. But if we lose, we have to lose while fighting with all our strength.

The rallies you've organized have been an inspiration.
