My 80 year old Mom is being harrassed with phone calls from the Kerry campaign.....

My 80 year old Mom is being harrassed with phone calls from the Kerry campaign....I am assuming they are targeting Seniors, as I have not gotten these calls, nor have my siblings.They're definitely targeting seniors. Sounds like your mom handles it well!
My parents are in WV and are also getting these calls. It's not working with them either. They'll be coming to Georgia for the winter, but they're determined to stay there until after the election.
I'm just curious as to where the dems would get a list of seniors and their phone numbers. Is it info that anyone can get hold of? The AARP maybe?

Mom has a difficult time getting around as it is, so to answer the phone is not always easy for her.
LisaMalia, I am a retired manager with a telco. Report this behavior to the phone company. Explain your mother is elderly. Do not stop UNTIL THEY PROVIDE A SOLOUTION. Escalate to upper management if necessary.

It's just a hunch but have her try yelling/saying "Operator" into the phone.
The reason I say this is some automated phone systems will still eventually offer you access to a live person if you press 0 for an option. Some of them will even switch you to a live (non-phone company employee) if you say the word "operator".
Then she can vent/ask to be removed from the harassing phone call list.

Is your Mom a registered Democrat? Maybe you should check her voter registration. Our Chiropractor had his registration changed from Republican to Democrat without his permission before the primaries. I checked my registration and found that I had been purged from the files.

How about the Medicare enrollment database?Could be their source. I'm so sick of them trying to scare the seniors! They always pull this one out of their bag in desperation. It's abuse of the elderly and no one calls them on it!

Is your Mom a registered Democrat? Maybe you should check her voter registration.ABSOLUTELY NOT, unless the dirty Dems did it without her knowledge! She has voted straight Republican since she was able to vote, gosh I guess it would be almost 60 years now!
