Maybe the Russians were working for us to get ordinance out of Iraq before we attacked.
Maybe Russia took the WMDs too.
MSM will just deny, deny, ignore the story... failing that, they'll allege that the Wash Times is in bed with the Administration!
The story about the munitions has been out there for months. Someone got hustled as to pushing one aspect of this story.
When I realized that they had to move the stuff out of the facility in a hurry, I figured "oh, heavy trucks, but a very busy Republican Guard [they were being positioned for combat] so who's going to do it?"
Yeah, Russians. Ha, ha. Tell Kerry to go ask Bashir Assam for the WMD...

One can perhaps say that "Russian units" doesn't necessarily mean regular units of the Russian military. Perhaps it could be mercenaries--think of all the "executive protection" outfits that have come out of southern Africa, chock full of mercenaries experienced in brush wars all over the continent. Who's to say that the Russians, with their military downsizing and in shambles, don't also have a surplus of ex-military folks able to be hired by "legitimate businessmen" and used for uses such as this?
It's a very odd charge, and one that we shouldn't go off half-cocked with until there's more proof. But it does look like one more nail in the NYT's "missing explosive" story.

Sifu Rove has accomplished the following with one fell swoop:
1. Discredited major MSM Bush haters
2. Killed John Kerry's entire campaign
3. Put the WMD issue back on the table
4. Smacked the UN in the teeth
5. Painted a bullseye on Syria
6. Saved America
7. Maybe killed Arafat with The Force Vader style (can't confirm this yet)

It would appear that the end of the Cold War has turned into a new hot war. We need to cut off all aid and trade with the Russians. They (and Red China) are the MAIN ENEMY.
People seem to forget Putin was the KGB Chief for East Germany and other countries he dreams for the good old days...
They probably don't like him either.
The moral of this story is that the New York Times is taking orders from Karl Rove.
