Schilling Urges Voters To Choose Bush On Morning Show
CONCORD, N.H. -- Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling, who urged people to vote for President George W. Bush on a national television show Thursday, will appear with the president on Friday in New Hampshire, a campaign spokeswoman said.
At the end of his interview about his team's World Series victory on ABC's "Good Morning America," Schilling signed off: "Tell everybody to vote. And vote Bush next week."
The president congratulated the Red Sox' owner and president by phone -- and thanked Schilling for his support.
Schilling won Game 2 of the World Series and Game 6 of the American League Championship series despite a torn tendon sheath in his right ankle that will require surgery.
He is scheduled to appear with Bush at rallies in Manchester and Portsmouth on Friday, campaign spokeswoman Maria Comella said.
My wife said that Charlie Gibson looked like he swallowed a goldfish when Schillling said that.
Since he'll win four for sure, likely five, and possibly all six, life is good.
Kurt, I'm a Bosox fan until the next baseball season starts :)
I wish I could get every Freeper Fretter over Ohio to buy one copy of my new book, "A Patriot's History of the United States" WHEN Bush takes OH by 5%. Then I'd be both rich and a winner.
alllllright!!!!
Good news! I actually think this alone could win us New Hampshire.
Is the GOTV effort there kicka$$? Any NH freepers wanna tell me?
Curt did to the Yankees and Cardinals about what Harmison did to the Windies (7/12).
Bush has the Bosox, Kerry the Botox
Wow! This is great news!
I have to say I like the Red Sox but your stadium and your fans are the best . What a great place to watch a ballgame. Get em next year.
Where did you find it? I've just been able to find the audio of Curt only saying to vote Bush.
Pros: Born in Alaska, WWII history buff, runs a publishing company, great pitcher who will be Hall of Fame (when? not son enough!), and supports Bush.
Cons: All four of his kids have names that start with the same letter.
Think he could do a victory lap through the Maine Congressional district that's wavering? It'll be like he personally gave Bush a single EV. That would be wicked cool.
And I'm sure that Trot Nixon is. And many more.
As a Yankee fan and an American it is impossible not to like Schilling. He understands who the real warriors are but he does indeed possess big cojones. Go Kurt.
Thanks for that info, puts it all in perspective. One great uncle was 101st, one was 102nd, the family didn't take well to Kerry calling out the 101st either.
Brady attended Bush's State of The Union address this year.

While your point is a valid point in 99.9% of circumstances, at the same time you obviously don't understand the Red Sox Nation and what Schilling means to them.
Also Mike Timlin.
