cool!!

You give us the total, member votes and non-member votes. I see that the present poll has more non-members voting than members.

Of course you do understand this is NOT a randomly selected poll conducted according to accepted polling criteria? We're not pretending to make an accurate portrait of the universe of the American public at large. That caveat being borne in mind, your new polling software may well serve the purposes for which you have created them.

I need to add something along the lines of "This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane." [From: Slashdot Poll disclaimer]

I do like to see the separation of members and non-members plus the total, its pretty cool. I guess I didn't realize we were outnumbered by lurkers.

Thanks, good work.

In another 15 - 20 years you will have the perfect forum software.

We have many Bush supporting lurkers. For that matter, we probably have a measurable number of Kerry supporting lurkers (longterm variety.) But the inflated Kerry numbers are because our little poll was featured on DU. That might have given us upward 2,000 DU votes. I feel so dirty.

But we'll just have to think something and it will become posted.

LOL! If that soon. But I try.

In fact, I'm working on a big change to the forum. Cleaner and easier to use. Probably won't see it until next year, but I'll open up a beta test site (well, a preview site) as soon as the programming is more stable.

The poll worked fine. Wow, the poll that is up now is a tough one to answer. Good poll. One of the best I've come across. Makes you think.

And I'm happy to report I am in the majority.

Best Regards,
BJN
