UBL's message regarding security of "States"
http://www.drudgereport.com/flash2.htm ^ | Watching In Awe

...

Male presenter: ... he said that the similarity between the administration of Bush the father and the arab regimes said Bush learned so much from them during his visits.

OBL: We didn't find difficulty dealing with Bush and his administration due to the similarity of his regime and the regims in our countries. Whish half of them are ruled by military and the other half by sons of kings and presidents and our experience with them is long. Both parties are arrogant and stubborn and the greediness and taking money without right and that similarity appeared during the visits of Bush to the region while people from our side were impressed by the US and hoped that these visits would influence our countries. Here he is being influenced by these regimes, Royal and military. And was feeling jealous they were staying for decades in power stealing the nations finances without anybody overseeing them. So he transferred the oppression of freedom and tyranny to his son and they call it th e Patriot Law to fight terrorism. He was bright in putting his sons as governors in states and he didn't forget to transfer his experience from the rulers of our region to Florida to falsify elections to benefit from it in critical times.

...

Male presenter: the final part of the message is that the security of the Americans depends on the policy that they execute despite the winner of the elections.

OBL: Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush or Al Qaeda. Your security is in your hands. Each state that doenst mess with our security has automatically secured their security.

It seems clear to me that Osama is threatening specific states of the union, particularly Florida. He hints that the attacks are already planned and that they will attack the US no matter what the outcome of the election is. However, the locations of the attacks are to be carried out in "states" who vote to re-elect Bush and to carry out the regime of "Kings".

We need to re-double our secuity efforts in Florida and Texas. I say raise the terror alert level NOW.

Thoughts?

Very interesting point. But it won't sway my vote. No way my state is going for Kerry. He'll lose here by 20 points.

More likely, he, like the left, is simply trying to destablize the country so they can manipulate within the chaos. All the talk is probably taken as codes or whatever. He is going to target based on where our culture centers are. Just so happens those tend to be liberal regardless of the state.

My wife just pointed out to me a chronological oddity in OBL's tape. When he refers to Michael's Moore"s image of Bush reading after the attacks, he talks about it as if the attacks were still going on. He says the President read about goats instead of trying to save 50,000 of his countrymen from attack. The attack had already happened. OBL has to know that. Is this the signal in the message we orry about whenever these thing show up. Nad is the number 50000 a part of that signal?

Never know. I wouldn't put it past some Democrats or some Lib nut jobs to blow themselves up or even go as far as assassination attempts.

I think we should be looking elsewhere. I fear for Florida and Texas. Florida has the leisure sites and Texas is on the border.

Bush is our best hope for defeating these terrorists and winning this war. Also, Osama is making this much more personal about "Bush the Father". Also, who is Kerry kidding when he says he will hunt down the terrorists and "kill" them? The terrorists are not a bunch of geese that come to you for the easy kill.

Osama finally comes out from his cave Outer Mongolia with his political endorsement. That boring speech had so many Michael Mooreon quotes, he must be getting the Old York Times delivered?? Yawn said that he had world leaders who were hoping that he would become President and now we know who he was talking about. Since he could have easily captured this murderer, he must have been in constant communication. After all, Yaawn Cut & Run Kerry is the most brilliant Armchair General and Monday Morning QB in the Country. Komrade Kerry knows everything about everything, just ask him a veritable Cliff Claven.

The first moment that Yaawn hears about Osama bin Hidin threatening the United States election and it’s people what is Yaawn’s response? Does he state we are unified in defeating this animal? No, he piles on the military, America and the President to score the cheapest of political points. This fits him like a T, he hates the military, America and the President with every vote he has cast or speech given. In unscripted moments, the true John Kerry comes out, the one we saw in 1971, he says that the military failed to catch Osama. Fact is, if Kerry, Clinton or Gore were presidents we would not have even been in Afghanistan. They all said that it was going to be another Vietnam and none of them had the spine to attack a sovereign country. So Osama would still be in his compounds outside of Kabul training terrorists for the next American attack.

We have the country’s most vile enemy attacking our President and our people and what is the first thing out of his mouth. “I would have captured or killed Osama!” What a piece of garbage to make an empty statement when this terrorist is threatening our women and children. First, track records for Rat CIC’s in war is very weak, but assuming he would have let the dogs loose and he ever got to the point our troops got to in Tora Bora, how you going to smoke him out? This is the most inaccessible land in the world. 20,000 foot mountains in the roadless areas between Pakistan and Afghanistan, tell us how YOU would catch him Yaawn??

Comrade Kerry is always the first to criticize our troops, but he never tells us exactly what he can do better. Our main mistake in Tora Bora was we became too sensitive to the terrorists and gave them a cease fire to surrender which is when they escaped. That is what Comrade Kerry would do in Iraq and is why Osama endorsed him. He is tired of raising goats in Outer Mongolia. He wants back in the game like when BJ clinton was treating him like a “nuisance” and is pining for a Kerry return to those days.

He misses the days when he could blow up or murder Americans at will and we would treat it like a police action. Threaten to hunt them down and kill them anywhere, any time yada, yada, yada and then wait for the next attack. He misses the days when the military option was not an option and our military was a meals-on-wheels brigade and no threat to Osama. Yeah, he is hoping and praying that Comrade Kerry will get elected and bring back the good ol days for terrorism when American blood flowed freely in the streets.

George W Bush changed all that! He told the military to sick-um and they did. Now terrorists are either dead or hiding for fear of their lives. Osama has not been able to attack this country once and is losing dozens of men a day. He knows that after GW is elected he is a dead man. He knows that the military is the finest and brightest military in the history of the world. He knows that GW will let the military adapt and destroy with an efficiency that he cannot match. He knows that his only chance of survival now is to get Yaawn elected. He knows that if President Bush is elected he will end up on the Ash Heap of History. Let’s pray America figures out what Osama has.

So in desperation he gives a rambling, long winded monotone speech that was laced heavily with attacks on the President and our military with wild claims from Michael Moore to fire-up his base. Pretty much a Yaawn Cut & Run stump speech who is now his number one fan so Blood will run once again in America’s streets.

Pray for W and Our Election

I had predicted yesterday on FR that Monday would be the day to watch out for.

It is no doubt that the bin Laden tape was a message. A fool could surmise that. Bin Laden also mentioned the FL school where Bush was on 9/11. Think Beslan? Maybe... go guess.

They knew that a fresh threat-of-attack favors a Bush win on Tuesday. This was NOT just a PR opportunity.

The message was an encrypted command.

States are nations.

This is what I thought when I first read the transcript. But now I don't think so given the first reference to states that I bolded. I fear this could be the "hidden message" to his US cells. Regardless, we should take the total of the two terror tapes this week seriously and realize that there is still an enemy and a war on terror and that we might suffer an attack.

God help us if so. Many schools are used for polling also.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Clearly OBL is telling Americans to keep and bear arms.

I took it to mean that UBL does not really understand our country or the way our government works. That he thinks a particular state has some sort of authority, and it's people are independent of the country as a whole.

He seems to understand the role Florida played in the 2000 election. He indicates that GHWB placed his sons as Governors to influence national politics. I think he grasps our government but he does err in how it works.

Many have pointed out the "outtakes" of F/911 in UBL's tape. The assertion of "Bush the Father's" Saudi connections and the "dynasty" show this. What gets me is how does this explain 8 years of Clinton? If GWHB had so much power, why didn't he win in 1992? These assertions fail basic logic.

Don't forget that Binnie's tape had to be translated, so much probably depends on the word in the orginal. The translator may have selected the word states to mean "nations," but it's also possible that the original word meant "states" in the US sense of the word, which is the reason the translator used this word.

I don't know if Arabic has two different words for these concepts. The Romance languages that I translate have only one word for both concepts, and it can therefore sometimes be ambiguous, depending on the context.

>>Thoughts?

I thought it was a good point for a second, and then I thought about which state 9/11 happened to.

I think UBL made this video tape because it was the best he had... If he could have attacked, he would have. He knows that would have made a stronger point then a speech.

Very good points. As I pointed out yesterday, there was not very much in OBL's message about Strong Horses and Weak Horses this time around. UBL realizes that he too is at war with a foe willing to fight back.
