Traditionally, most Dem voters stay home if the weather is inclement.
You will all be happy to know that there is a 70% chance for thunderstorms November 2nd :)

I am seeing reports for T-Storms up and down the eastern 1/3 of the nation.
This is further proof of God's existence.

The way the last election played out, I think the Lord wants us to acknowledge his hand in saving the country and not boast in our own strength. For friends and family who live in non-swing states (California, Idaho, Texas, South Carolina, Kansas, Utah), we have urged them to vote anyway and pray for Pennsylvania. Mrs. Vigilanteman and I signed up for poll duty at the urging of Sandalwood. The local HQ has asked that we get there a.s.a.p. since they could find nobody for morning shift. I figure if the teachers could give their union a day off to work the polls, I could use a vacation day off to counter them.
The "W" campaign called to offer us tickets to see him in Pittsburgh on Monday night. Much as we'd like to go, I need to work late on Monday to make sure we are covered on Tuesday. Everyone, please pray for PA. We need a big turnout in flyover country to overcome the fraud in Philly and Pittsburgh.

Speaking of which, I am off to work the phone for us at 11:00am in Williamsport, PA. Let's get out the vote to offset Philly.

What kind of impact would storm-related loss of power have on electronic voting?

Columbus has rain and thunderstorms in the forcast. Seems that way for most of the state.
First place I go Tuesday morning is to vote.

I've never been a religious person. I do pray every now and then, well, nearly every hour these days. But if we find that the democrat votes is depressed because of bad weather, I'm going to go to church every sunday. Jim

You will be expected to keep that promise, you know. ;)

Most of Ohio uses punch cards. Power outages wouldn't affect those! (90% chance of rain in Dayton)

That is one of many reasons I want a paper trail. Of course, the machine that reads them still needs to be able to run.

The worst T-storm I ever experienced was in Cincy--June, '81. In town for my 10-year reunion, we were driving in one of the residential areas to the NE and it sounded and looked like the end of the world. The thunder was deafening and it was as dark as midnight. Very impressive.

Pray for rain....
I have been. The same God that caused it to rain for 40 days and 40 nights can certainly cause it to rain for his purposes again!!!
